i agree with most of what you say but where have you got 65K dead from? I’ve seen near on 37K deaths all in( hospital & Care homes).
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11706630/dominic-cummings-triumphant-critics-floundering/ Makes a change seeing someone sticking up for him to give a different side.
Lot of Tory MP's are saying that Cummings has totally lost all credibility. Robert Peston just been on the 10 o'clock news bulletin. He reckons the odds are now 50/50 on whether he keeps his job, or whether Boris finally loses his nerve and has to overturn his original decision not to sack him. Johnsons critics are saying that his insistence in standing by Cummings when he has quite clearly broken the rules that he helped to formulate, leads them to believe that he is not capable of running the country without Cummings by his side.
FFS I'm having to agree with Piers Morgan again! Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) Tweeted: Everyone defending Cummings would be baying for blood if Labour had won the election, Corbyn was PM in this crisis, & Seamus Milne had been caught breaking the lockdown. UK politics is now as tribal as US - facts don't matter, only blind allegiance to the tribe. It's tragic.
TBH not sure I understand the thought process of Boris needing him etc. Boris has been plotting to get the PM job for a lot longer than he has worked with Cummings
Really don't want to stick up for him, but he did say they travelled up at night and I would imagine their lad slept all the way hence no toilet break. That might not be true, and the truth did seem to leave the building during the Barnard Castle debacle, but it's certainly feasible. Personally I'd be questioning why Barnard Castle. It's not on the route back to London. It's not a quick eye sight checking drive from Durham. As we all know, when we've gone blind, a quick 10 minutes in the car does the trick. It's a 27 mile, 45 minute drive to a well known tourist attraction. It's not 30 minutes on that road unless he's flooring it, and what with him being blind and that. It's a day out on Easter Sunday.
Remember when he made a point in the garden today, of saying he predicted Coronavirus, he'd been writing about it for years etc...?
Interesting, so when he kept claiming he'd been eating about coronavirus since last year he hadn't really. On his first day back to work after returning from Durham, he ammended his blog to add in parts about the virus to make it appear it'd been written last year.......
Yep theres something not quite right about Demonic Cummings. I get the feeling that there are things going on in his head that need to be analysed by psychiatrists.
He will have driven many grieving relatives to their wits' end over the last few days, you can be sure about that. No regrets? I bet they are regretting following the rules.
I can see where you are coming from. No one should underestimate the depths that Johnson will stoop to to remain in power or the short memories of the electorate. It is probably going to be a very big hole that the country is in at the end of this. Again, I hope this can be done without too much damage. With a lack of funds, it will be interesting to see what happens to public services, particularly the NHS.
Duper's Delight. Watch when he leaves his desk at the end of the meeting walking across the grass giving a flashing smile.
To test your vision is good enough for driving, you sit in your car and read a number plate (or something of similar size) about 20-30m away. You know, like you did when you took your driving test before you started the engine. Or make an emergency appointment at an optician - which are still open. He could very probably have arranged a driver for the trip back to London too if he thought there might have been an issue. At *best* he broke several of the lockdown laws or guidelines (returning to work immediately after seeing his wife who was suspected COVID, driving north, staying in a second home, driving to Barnard Castle, sitting on a bench) and at least one driving rule - that he has admitted to.
