There will be a few left field signings too I should imagine. Pretty relaxed about it. These owners like their promotion money so we'll be there or there abouts next season.

It only takes a slip up in the play-offs or a seventh placed finish and it goes down the sh1tter.

It'll look very very different whenever next season starts. There'll be no Mowatt and no Woodrow at a minimum.

So they can sell him for a higher price. Mowatt will not be playing for us next season - certainly not in League 1.

(I'll be delighted if I'm wrong, and hope I am)

In fact, I've just realised it is so they can sell him at all, would have gone free this summer.

Money will be like water in a desert come the start of next season; the sale of Cauley will be like an oasis to the owners. Again, much as I hope I'm wrong, I cannot imagine that he will be here next season. He wouldn't want to be in League 1 and he is too good for it, tbf. I wouldn't begrudge him leaving.

Need to get Dougall signed up, I really rate him. Shame he hasn't got into the swing of this season - he looked great last year

Mowatt and Woodrow will be gone unfortunately.

Not that I don’t agree with you, Cauley could very well leave. However, if money will be scarce for our owners why would it be any different for any other owners? I’m not sure we’ll see the ridiculous figures in the championship, at least for a little while anyway.

FFP will be abandoned for next season, I imagine. And some owners will pump more money in than ours have (or want to pump inn as the case seems to be).

I agree that there will be less money. But that just means we won't get as much as we might have (for any player) had Covid never happened: we'll still sell him (them).
