Got to admit leeupo It seems a little daft to buy more than 1 if you have to pay separately for other members of the family. Given you will all have access to the same Ifollow if you all live together. Worst case scenario if none of those games are televised or on Ifollow. Then what happens if the pass is not used due to not being allowed into games.
That's exactly what they're saying will happen but you have to remember that the season tickets are £250. An ifollow season ticket is £130. Huge gamble
I really want to take the gamble but I don’t think it’s worth it. As others have said, there’s 3 people that go with me from the same household. That’ll be 750 quid they could potentially be gambling to watch all the games on the internet. (Which is terrible at the best of times) so can’t see them renewing just yet as their gamble is way worse than mine. If the people I go with don’t renew then there’s no point in me getting gambling with my cash either.
Really not sure how many people will commit to a new season pass when there is so much uncertainty around. You could pay out all that money and find yourself watching every game on ifollow. Don't get me wrong, the pricing and associated benefits look OK but with no guarantee of stadium entry then I won't be committing at this stage.
Agree mate I just think they’re not thinking that far ahead and will make a decision as with last seasons. I noted the 4 tickets pass can roll over into 2021/22.would be nice for clarification. And it would put lots of minds to rest.
Due to overwhelming customer demand, the first sentence has now been changed. Does it say anywhere if the 60-65 lot who already had a season ticket in 2009 (?) still get some sort of concession?
£6.28 to watch each game if you cannot get in for the whole season based on 289÷46 as you get to watch away games too. Then plenty of good extras too like a replica shirt of your choosing, your name in the tunnel and the NHS shirt. I hate the board as much as the next person but it all looks pretty good to me.
Doesn’t say it mate but yes . If you go to the club or telephone. or log in on line into your account. I’m 63 and in that category. it takes it into account. Also discounted if a centenary member. Which was all in the price. I did a dummy run. Online.
Agreed, even worse, I've just realised one of my under 12s from last year becomes an under 19 ticket next year so it would actually cost me more than this season. Four game Flexi tickets for us.
It’s all a bit vague but basically the club is in unchartered territory. I suppose the offer is as good as we can expect but it’s a huge gamble for people to fork out. I think I’ll most likely renew but fully understand anyone that doesn’t. I’ll be surprised if they manage to shift more than 3/4000 to be honest. It might be an easier sell if the owners offered to invest a sum of money to tide us over or the players agreed a pay cut? Worrying times....
In the small print it goes on to say that the 'free' access to iFollow with your season ticket assumes that the EFL will sanction the deal. You could end up paying £289 and not get iFollow unless you sign up for that as well. In that case you'll have spent £289 for a ticket that hasn't got you into Oakwell.
I certainly think things can be ironed out. Re what happens if. ? The main obstacle I see For lots ( kin hell Barnsley is one of the lowest in average income brackets as it is.) is only being able to claim your seat till June 30th. But because you want to wait to see what’s happening (eg cos of multi purchase) you pay full price and the possibility of your seats having gone. there should be a cooling off of that date until we know when 20/21 starts. Allowing to claim your own seat. even if it’s paying full price. Those in financial straights at the mo receiving a double whammy.
If I may say something potentially unpopular, but not intending to offend. I understand totally people's unhappiness with the club or prices. However, I would imagine the club (like many others) is close to insolvency, while the lockdown continues. Selling Season tickets brings in some cashflow. A confession, I have been to 4 games this season, I bought the ticket as a way of giving the club money as we don't have a shares issue.
As I understand it Ifollow will be included in the price if on games on show. ( sign up included.) Are you saying you would have to pay a price to sign up also ? Haven’t ever had it so it’s new to me. Don’t know how it’s processed.
