The constant obsession with racism (or any other "ism") isn't just confined to the BBS.

 

I very recently accused Nudge of being a WUM and tried to quote one of his friends who had indeed discussed the issue with him. Meeting him socially.
I did him an injustice. As he said it was ballax as he doesn’t have any friends.

If he denies I will willingly call that ACQUAINTANCE out to explain. They used to post on here years ago and was one of nudges favourite posters. Known to many on here.

I will reply to nudge if I think he’s not on a wind up. Some of the posts on where he stands appal me. And I’ve called him out on it.

One of his village acquaintances chuckled when I said what is it with nudge. Read into that what you wish.

I will apologise to nudge if those acquaintances don’t have the bottle to back up what they said or inferred.

It was a bad shout on my part going on the words of others. and for that I do apologise.

I have tried to defend nudge when it appears he is receiving bad press so to speak on some of his opinions. But I will not engage with him on issues, I believe, he has in his words changed his stances. Which I abhor given his claim to be an ex union rep.

Any union rep worth their salt should ever support a Tory government in my eyes. as we look to serve the working class in general . But sadly he’s not on his own.

 

And that my friend is the attitude that causes the problem, right there.

At work at the moment? About 10. At work throughout my life? Probably 30 that I could make and say they are or were.

I live in a small village just outside of York, as the only Barnsley lad who works in the quarrying industry and one of a small handful of bikers here I’m easily identifiable to any scally tuning in who wants to scope out our village in the knowledge that I’m unlikely to be at home on a saturday afternoon once the season starts up again. So I’ll politely decline to identify the village by naming it’s primary school. I note that you chose to ignore my point about labour councils brushing asian rapists of white girls under the carpet for fear of stirring up the dreaded r word. Case proven m’laud

You weren't easily identifiable until you divulged a load of personal information (including when you're not in) all at once, in a post about how you're scared of being identified.

 

So the Jay report, which concluded that Rotherham councils reluctance to tackle the issue was partly based on not wanting to be accused of racism by the labour voting ethnic minority asian population was also stupid then ? The chief exec and head of children's services having presided over and having ignored the fact that care homes were reporting girls being collected by asian taxi drivers to then be raped, trafficked and threatened is stupid as well ?? What’s stupid is people like you who will seek to ridicule people like me therefore turning a blind eye to whats going on and allowing it to continue.

Are they actually racist or do they just use inappropriate language? I have been guilty of innocently using words that are no longer deemed to be appropriate. I'm not talking about obvious words that we know are know longer acceptable but language changes so frequently it can be easy to cause offence when none was intended.

 

The bit you’ve missed oh wise one is that we’re on the subject of racism, my point a few posts back being that the word stifles because no one wants to be accused of it, Rotherham council being a prime example.
