There's a significant, non-redneck population, that hated Obama Care. Trump promising to disband it was one of the reasons he won the middle ground vote. I've no idea why so many people look at Obama care as if it was this amazing, universally loved healthcare plan. It really wasn't.
It doesn't help when every time a black American is killed by police it's front page news but not only that it's front page news with his skin colour written in big letters. See that often enough and you believe it.
No smoke without fire there has seemed to have been a racial divide in america for many years and its boiling over now.
Yep , let's deal with the symptom not the cause . I do worry about America , the reaction to the 2008 crash to the ordinary citizen was bad , but 2 times in ten years after the covid acts .... Jesus . And both parties were fully on board for another looting of the American public . America could end up a real basket case in no time .
I’m not talking about the last 72 hrs. and anyone thinking that this problem just appeared this week hasn’t grasped what’s happening here
For a lot of Americans, especially those in the middle class, their premiums went up and minor healthcare became expensive. I don't think anyone outside of the US should really use healthcare a debate to be honest. It's a mess compared to our system whatever way you look at it, but nobody is close enough to it to have a real grasp of what the everyday American thinks. But then again, I feel like that could be said for most US opinions shared on here.
You were directly comparing the town hall protests to what is happening now? When those protests are a million miles away from each other.
Well yeah dave Jones is abit different, sadly in some parts of the world people are treated differently because of there skin coulor or religion. This isnt the 1st time a unarmed black man in America has been murdered by police and probley wont be the last.
Apologies if I've misunderstood and taken the below wrong. But a semi-automatic on the town hall steps vs. black people protesting sounds like a comparison between two recent events and definitely one that happened in the last 72 hours.
WTAF I directly quoted your response to a reasonable question. You’re happy to admit that black people are oppressed, but the same people that oppress them because of their race, wouldn’t possibly have a different value of their lives due to their race. OK
