I’m all for everyone’s right to protest as long as it’s socially distanced and peaceful. I also massively agree with the Black Lives Matter movement.

I will however slag the morons that over the last few days have given the blind Tory Cult A chance to blame it on the public and move the blame from the government.

    The absolute bellends.

Pretty much how I see it. It’s a great big escape route offered to the tories when they were twisting on their own hubris.

    I agree with this.
    Black lives matter.
    Peaceful protest also matters.
    They matter so much.
But we're living in a global pandemic. I don't agree with lock down. Although I respect those that do, and don't claim my opinion is right. I do agree with social distancing, it works. In mass gatherings social distancing becomes impossible. Most people attending a rally will be in good physical health. You kind of have to be to get there. As such, if they contract the virus while attending, they'll be OK. They'll have a horrible bloody flu if they're infected and might regret going, but ultimately they'll be OK. The people they go home to might not be.
In our interconnected world, there are far better ways to express your disgust at what happened than taking to the streets.
Not in America. That is raw emotion, I wouldn't condemn anyone for their actions.
But here, we can think about it, we can respond appropriately and more effectively after analysing it and being aware of the world we're living in.

Protesters who aren’t following Social Distancing, being violent and basically tarnishing a cause that should be an important social conversation which could positively impact humans for generations to come.

The Tory Party should be the morons, but some parts of society are giving them a massive get out of jail free card.

I bet in Cummings world they are laughing their c0ck off.

Not only that, but in failing to properly social distance they're aiding the spread of a disease which disproportionately affects BAME communities. In the name of black lives matter.

Because they are rent-a-mob morons who are damaging and tarnishing the legitimacy of the majority of protesters.

The majority were peaceful with good intentions but as is often the case there is a minority of idiots who hijack the event and spoil it.

To be fair as ‘riots’ go it wasn’t up to much , the Police horse charge seemed to be out of proportion to what was happening . I was watching it on Sky and even they questioned why there was a charge with no foot officers following up in support , it looked like a differing of opinion between Police Commanders on the ground , it lasted about 2 minutes before ‘control’ was restored.

    All lives matter.
Take colour out of it then the world can move forward.
People are people regardless so colour should never be mentioned, start by removing the BAME label.
If George Floyd had been white then potentially the same outcome could have happened.
Deal with bad people, whether civilians or police or politicians whatever.
    Protect decent, good people.
We need police forces that can protect decent people without their judgement being affected by colour.
We need governments that can make decisions based on people not colour.
You are not a black, asain or white person just a person then the world can move on.
All lives matter, stop the protesting, looting, violence and start by dealing people on social media, organised groups, football matches etc who carry out these disgusting acts and words. Freedom of speech my arse, good or bad it is as simple as that - abuse of any kind bad - respect and treat peole well good.

You obviously don’t understand white privilege in the US then and the fact that 1 in 10 black people die due to police brutality.

All whilst sitting on the fact that black people have been racially abused for 100s of years.

I obviously do understand all that and what needs to happen is that it is erradicated from todays society, what happened in the past cant be changed what happens moving forward can. Deal with bad people whoever they are - police, politicians or civillians. Its a big job no doubt.

After they charged and the protesters had got round the back of them because there was no foot follow up by Police , not condoning the chucking of stuff but it was a bit of a Police **** up , I bet there were a few exchanges between Commanders after it , where things were probably chucked at each other .

Unfortunately the legacy left means you can't just draw a line and move on. Be great if we could but we're a long way from that imo.

What is to gain from dwelling in the past for anything we do. Everyone already knows the hurt and harm its done. Now as anytime everyone needs to work and work together to get rid of Covid, get the economy going and it is a given that discrimination has to go as well. Riots, mass demonstrations don't, looting, attacking the police, doesn't help now

It is mate, but we as white people cant just say it’s time to move on, especially when black people across Western Society are still seen as second class citizens, we have to empathise and support these kinds of movements to make significant change but we can’t control the narrative, it’s not our right.
