Three of these landed on our bird feeder a short while ago. One was ringed. Managed to get some photos but this one is the best. It's about the size of a blackbird but with the poise and beak of a woodpecker, especially as it was eating the nuts. I really do not have a clue !!
Sorry, not a baby starling. We get loads every year and they are fed by their parents whilst trembling for food. It's still too early for them anyway. These were feeding themselves.
Definitely baby starling....ours are feeding themselves already (have been for a good few days) so may be early due to the good weather.
Googled adult starling. Don’t know if there are different sorts. Says European Starling. Guessing they’re arriving afore a hard Brexit.
Daft thing is I didn’t notice when I googled young starling. But your right it’s there as a juvenile.
