Sorry Baz - just seen this. Yes, as above - 4 live games. Not the biggest, obviously, but still a 'moment' for us - first ever live PL games on the BBC! Football Focus, MOTD and MOTD2 coming back in their usual slots, but no plans for Final Score at the moment as there will be so few 3pm kick-offs and we're not allowed to send reporters to games. Not sure if Sky have ditched Soccer Saturday for the same reasons....

i saw somewhere sky will show the goals from the championship "as they go in" i assume thats only for games kicking off at the same time as their championship tv game however.... which looks like not being too many!

The BBC cant send a reporter to games - are the newspapers allowed to send anyone or is all that is allowed in are the TV crew?

Do you know if l @Matt1575 is allowed in to commentate on our games for iFollow (appreciate you may have no idea for Championship as you dont have that at all but guessing you cant send reporters to championship games either)

I wonder what makes reporters more of a risk than cameramen?

They’re not, but you need cameramen for the TV streams and you don’t need reporters.

I get that, but I would have thought a handful of reporters, spread around an otherwise empty ground, would have been OK.

Bournemouth against Crystal Palace, in front of less people than a match at Oakwell.

    Cracking.

Sorry mate don’t know about the papers. Just that we can’t send reporters to PL or EFL games.

Might work for the press lads, but TV & radio need ISDN lines and that. Commentators will be there, with distancing, but not reporters AFAIK

I agree, but we can only show what we’re given! It’ll still return a bigger audience than ‘owt on Sky or BT.
