Players not taken a deferral. Whilst I understand they are amongst the lowest paid in the championship they aren’t paid peanuts. I’d be thinking twice when the club get the begging bowl out to the fans again.

I don’t think it will be an individual response from the players ... they will go along with advice from the PFA and possibly their Agents.

So that means prepare for us to sell some players to cover the costs?

Interesting that he mentions Struber taking a wage deferral (does that mean it will have to be paid back so is essentially a loan from him to the club?) But no mention at all of any financial help from senior none playing staff or owners.

Sponsors aren't paying their final installment, presumably they won't be on the shirts or around the ground for the ifollow games then?

It seems to me that neither the owner, senior employees, players or sponsors are expected to do anything to help the club financially but the supporters currently furloughed on 80% of the minimum wage are being emotionally blackmailed into giving the club money as a gift. Why the **** are supporters being asked to fund the existence of a company owned by venture capitalists who claim to be billionaires?

I completely understand the financial impact this virus must have have on clubs including BFC and I think it is likely there will be players sold to try and balance the books.

Who will buy them though? Every club bar an odd few must be in the same situation?

I think players and clubs are in for a shock pretty soon

There are always clubs who will spend beyond their means. Allegedly.

Jacob brown was wanted by brentford and a prem team in january brentford could still get.promoted.
Woodrow will attract interest scored alot of goals in a poor team, some clubs will still have money/parachute payments or spend money the dont have only thing is clubs minght take piss and players devalue.
I last heard we were still owed 4 million pound in unpaid transfer payments even Angus fee hadn't been paid maybe we should try get that in.

I would be interested to know if they have applied for CBILS

and also why they aren’t putting their hands in their pockets to support the club.

Unless they don’t have any money of course.

It does say executives havE taken a deferral, I am guessing that is a reference towards senior non playing staff

So it does. I'm going blind.

I wonder who that covers? Dane and his wife? They're the only people with executive in their title aren't they?

Normal working class fans from a working class town and surrounding areas with families mortgages bills and mouths to feed are asked to help the club financially due to the virus.

Yet we are owned by multi millionaires many times over and here is Murphy already setting the script for the sale of the 4/5 club jewels to ‘balance the books’. This is just another example of these locusts who own us who do not give a flying f**k about our wonderful fans or wonderful club. Their multi incompetences and total lack of ambition / banking profits and buying lots of scattergun lower league dross is the exact reason why we are in this position.

It’s astonishing that we are owned by filthy rich multi millionaires and yet they are again asking the supporters to bail THEM out.

Why don’t they open their wallets for a change and help the club out financially ?

bye bye mowatt Chaplin brown Woodrow hello £10 million in transfer fees = £7 million loss for relegation = mid table league one = Conway and the locusts shouting yeeeeeeeeha partners we’ve made £3 million quid whilst these saps have bought 6500 season tickets and the Groundhog Day wheel of dross turns and starts all over again. In the meantime we will invest in a handful of lower league dross who these goons think the will fit the buy cheap and sell high spreadsheet.

Covid has been a blessing for our owners as they will roll it out for an excuse for everything that the fans raise against them.

I would hope grown adults have a mind of their own. It's really shitty of our players not to be at the very least taking a deferral. We had better hope the situation we are in with Covid keeps improving because if we don't have stands full for the start of next season, a lot of clubs might not make it.

Disagree. A wage deferral is a loan. Why should the players be loaning money to Paul Conway and Chien Lee's company instead of Paul Conway and Chien Lee loaning themselves the money?

Hang on a minute, our owners are billionaires they wouldn't see us suffer. I'm sure they'll look after club for a while, they are barnsley fans after all.
