"We had some executives that defered and have not taken payment, which has helped us"

that's a quote he said in the interview
that would be a very strange way of saying it if he was one of those he was talking about.
way he said it makes it sound like other people not himself
    No ?
did someone say the directors said or a spokesman for them said they don't pay themselves a wage.
does not being paid a wage include not being paid a dividend.
    no idea just asking

Well that headline was a bit hyped up, any club in the EFL could have written that.

directors don’t receive dividends, shareholderS do. That said the directors are more often than not, shareholders

I'm a long way from renewing at the moment, and the club hasn't yet convinced me not to claim a refund this season. This kind of announcement does little to inspire me.
It's all hinging on the Q&A session.
    No pressure, Dane.

Senior execs have. Isnt that mentioned in the article?. Dane mentioned in the zoom call yesterday. Not sure the relevance of sponsors.
Whats the gift fans are being asked to give?

Could be his response was a case of if he says I have, it opens up the next question about others, so maybe a vague response to keep iit unpersonal.

in terms of wage/dividend there is a succinct difference but it could be argued that a dividend is a wage in the broader spectrum. But I would suspect in this example the two are different even if it’s purely from an Accountancy perspective.

That will apply to the vast majority of clubs from the Championship down.
The PFA have been an absolute disaster throughout, them and agents not helping is like a chicken looking at a packet of Paxo and not running in the other direction!

The PFA are alright telling all their players not to take wage cuts/deferrals, but it's very short term thinking. If they don't take the hit now, there'll be no money left in the pot for next year's (and beyond) contracts meaning players will have to take cuts later on and a large number will be made unemployed. I can't see many clubs below the Championship carrying more than around 18 senior pros and just getting the academy lads to fill in the gaps, they won't be able to afford anything else. If we assume that clubs currently carry 22 senior pros, ie 2 teams worth of players, then that's 4 players per club that won't get another gig. If that happens across the board 192 players would be jobless. Obviously they're rough figures but just goes to show the potential impact in just a couple of divisions.

I think if fans can be asked to do something and are, then the players can show solidarity with the fans. When a player rings up a fan 'when you lot taking a wage cut or defferal?' would be the first question asked.

Problem is we’ll get rid of Mowatt, Brown, Woodrow, Chaplin then be left with the 18 useless ones.

Still can’t understand why fans couldn’t tune in live to that. Evidently will raise more questions once it’s aired and stops the chance to respond from the club direct to the fans etc. Pointless idea in my opinion.

Bit of a typical YP non story really, every club in the Championship will be in the same, if not worse position. Football will eat itself by the looks of things!!

Don't communicate - shocking, not good enough.

Communicate - not how I wanted it, not good enough.

Gally is there any news on the small print about iFollow access being approved by the EFL and Sky? This, more than anything, is what is holding me back from renewing. While I'm not happy about the playing of games behind closed doors I'm more concerned that if iFollow is the only means of watching BFC as a season ticket holder I don't want to be then told I also need a Sky subscription.

You will be better served by watching the Q&A tomorrow buddy. An hour's worth of questions answered.
