    Great times to be watching football. I was a great fan of the team you had just a few years later: I was young and clearly confused :)

    I was 15. A man stood next to me and said is this the first time here? Yes I said. Then he said put your hands in your pockets and stick your elbows out and don’t move. Glad I did because the crush was something else.

    really miss those days, folk talking about bring back standing areas, will still have no idea. Massive sway one way , back again the other , ending nearly smack bang where you started!

    I was there, what a fantastic day that was. Apart from the J Geils band, all the bands were brilliant, George Thorogood and the Destroyers and what about Joe Jackson and his band. Wasn’t a Rolling Stones fan until that day, absolutely awesome

    His band came on stage and started taking photos of the crowd saying that they would Never play in front of a crowd that big again. I really enjoyed them though

    The fence got broken down that day...it was estimated that there was 140,000 in, I was about 20m from the stage it took hours to get out
