Barring miracles and assuming we get relegated. What do we think the player situation may be next season (whenever that starts.)

Who should stay? Who should go? Who will we sell?

    Keepers.

Can't see both Collins and Radlinger (Out of contract??) staying on if we have to tighten our belt.

Do we give Jack Walton a go next season? Been around for a while, so someone must rate him within the club.

    Defence:

    Ludewig back to Germany
Anderson/Diaby/Pinillos - Are they surplus to requirements?

    Solbauer/Sibbick/Halme Centre backs.

Does Ben Williams deserve another go at LB or Clarke Odour? Odour the better player for me.

    Jordan Williams RB?

    Midfield:

McGeehan/Jordan Green - Both out on loan, will they stay? Personally think McGeehan will leave.

Thiam -???? Not featured - Think he will move on.

    IMO Mowatt will be sold.

Bahre - not good enough - Should we move him on?

Dougall - Out of contract, I believe? Do we move him on to save a few quid?

Thomas/Rizmaier - Not had a constant run in the team, but are they good enough? Possibly in league 1?

Would like to see Simoes and Styles get a run in the side next season.

    Forwards:

Reckon Woodrow/Brown and possibly Chaplin will be sold.

Leaves Schimdt and Wilks........ I'd drive Schmidt back to Austria myself. Wilks had far more anonymous games than good ones.... Possibly at her majesty's pleasure when courts resume? Would move him on I reckon.

    Not seen Miller play yet.

All ifs and buts, I guess.

Can’t see their being many buyers for players. I think football below prem level will have changed forever. It wouldn’t be especially surprising for between 10 and 20 clubs to fold if they have to play without fans or income for any significant amount of time

I take it with letting Greatorex go that the 3 keepers at the club will be Radlinger, Collins and Walton.

I cant see Andersen going anywhere but we know Pinnilios isnt back training so we wont have him and Thiam as they are surplus to Strubers requirements.
The interesting one is Sibbick.. He can't play in these next 9 games so could only impress in training, I think he may get sold, he has potential clearly but not sure if Struber sees him in the same light as Stendel did.

Wilks trial like Daniel's has been delayed by a year I believe so he may well get sent out on loan again.

It'll be interesting to say the least. Dougall, Thiam and Pinillos will surely not have their contracts renewed - same goes for Radlinger I would think.

Woodrow, Mowatt and Brown will be sold. I see some fair points regarding that would be suitors haven't got the finances they usually would have, but the flip side of that is that Dane Murphy has told the world that we having got a pot to piss in - so any bids will be reflected in that. Plus there's the fact that these players themselves will surely want to play Championship.

I can see the majority of our team being....

    Collins
    Oduor
    Sollbauer (contract dependant)
    Anderson
    Diaby
    Sibbick
    Williams
    Williams
    Styles
    Simoes
    Thomas
    Chaplin

    It'll be a difficult season.

    Agreed.

Only time l've never been worried about our players getting flogged, only the Prem will have money and none of our players are that level yet.

Wonder if we will be under threat cant see this lot pumping there own money in, if they even have any, transfer market ******, lots of players on long deals, no fans in ground league one football. Could be trouble ahead.

Looks thin but you’ve missed Halme, Ritzmaier and Schmidt out. All players who will no doubt be the in the match day squad regularly.

Let’s not forget, the gap between the divisions is huge. Wilks, barring Fulham on the opening day and a couple of goals for Hull, has been poor in the championship but look how good he was in league 1 for Donny. Luke Thomas, it’s a similar story. You only have to look at our own Thiam’s struggles in the championship to then his contributions in league 1. Of course, not every player will suddenly be world beaters in league 1 but I would say the majority should be competitive.

If Mowatt goes and we do let Dougall go, then we’ll clearly need to get someone to play at the bottom of the diamond. The most difficult thing will be replacing the goals from Woodrow. But we’ve pretty much gone from Winnall to Bradshaw to Woodrow so hopefully we’ll keep the trend going and find another decent finisher.

Who even knows, we might win a few behind closed doors, stay up and keep our players amidst all the transfer window uncertainty!

I knew I'd missed a few out - couldn't be bothered to look them up!

There's a few who hopefully will tear league one up, but it does look pretty thin.

Yeah I agree. Whilst they may have plenty of cash to buy clubs in Holland or Belgium or Scotland they ain’t spending it on us. I would say we are in moderate danger depending how long empty grounds continue.

I wish people would post football-related matter on a football fans' message board.

We don't want any of that here at politicalbitching.org.uk, thanks.

Cant see anyone in a football ground before 2021 if I'm honest I just hope we manage to avoid the drop like I said I worry if we go down.
