Tranmere are moving forward in looking to sue the EFL over PPG , can’t be long before Peterborough and others join in.
Hope they carry it through but according to a report this morning it says lawyers unlikely to get involved. That wasnt the case when null and vold was mentioned. This was going to be a minefield of legal cases.
Will this be just the start ? https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/tranmere-rovers-ready-sue-efl-22189463
Totally understand their point of view. Should never have been left for other clubs to vote to relegate them at the expense of saving themselves.
Not 100% sure but I believe Number of points gained divided by number of games played = average points per game. Eg 30 points/20 games =1.5 Would be better than 31points/21 games = 1.47 Only affects 2/3 clubs as the tables stand Nonsense as it doesn’t take into account present form or who you have to play.
they should do, it was a loaded vote, everybody who looked good for promotion or had nothing really to play for opted to save cash and consolidate
I think it was slightly more complicated as it took into account home and away form so it was home ppg added to remaining home games and away ppg added to away games
Wouldn't surprise me if it isn't first of many if you look how tight that division was at the top - is it 3 points separating the clubs near the top? Really close and could have gone any way - think Peterborough missed out by 0.02 points I read this morning
If history repeats - then we will continue to accept ‘egg under’d cap’. Im still waiting for Hume/Morgan debacle to be sorted.
It was, the ref incorrectly gave Morgan a yellow Instead of a Red, This meant the FA couldn’t do anything about it. Wrong I agree, but as I understood it at the time those were the rules. My anger at not just the incident, was at the people defending Morgan, saying he didn’t mean to elbow him
People ..... as in BBC Radio Sheffield. Barnsley supporters should never forget their bias stance on what happened.
That was the second elbow incident on Hume . Earlier Morgan used his other elbow and Hume complained to the Referee .
The FA certainly could do something about it. Ben Thatcher's elbow of Portsmouth's Mendes was deemed a yellow card by the referee but they still went after him.
Just imagine if Leeds blow automatic promotion and then fluff the play offs again, I'm sure they'll be suing for having to play without they're 12th Man !!! Fingers crossed
from 90 bleedin yards away I could see it was a straight red & like you said folk defended him It's enough t drive a man to to drink.
