Man from Atlantis... guy who can breath underwater. six million dollar man. Six million pound to rebuild and improve a bloke. Chips. Police motorbike drama The fall guy.... a stunt man solving crimes.
I used to love six million dollar man , if my mum or dad asked me to pass them anything I used to always do it in slow motion while making the tv show sound, it got to the stage where it was quicker for them to get it themselves.
look on you tube, theres loads on plus the spin off when they were in Australia(which i'd forgot about)
Secret Army - a really well-acted, tense and theatrical series, not the kind of thing Saturday night TV does anymore.
All about opinions I suppose. I know people who love these shows but generally American shows don't appeal to me. Taxi was ok and I did kind of like Benson back in the day.
I love The Simpsons and Family guy is ok so yes I accept these in the case for the defence. And British sitcoms... well we did produce utter cr@p like Birds of a feather, Absolutely Fabulous and the awful Miranda so I wouldn't blindly defend our record in this genre either.
I do agree there JP. Geoffrey Palmer, Wendy Craig and Rodney - what's not to like. It wasn't side-splitting funny but it was good, harmless entertainment.
Nightingales - just being repeated on Forces TV Watching - absolutely loved this but it was dropped and never heard of since.
"I've got a top job in an office in the city, and she treats me like I'm just another lackey, but I can put a tennis racket up against my face, and pretend I'm Kendo Nagasaki!" Obligatory Half Man Half Biscuit reference.
Heads up for another blast from the past. First episode tonight at 9pm on Talking Pictures TV (Freeview channel 81). Budgie starring Adam Faith. Originally shown in 1971. Can't remember much, but I remember my parents enjoying it.
