    It's not going to be easy but I think looking at Hull in free fall before all this and now losing players who won't extend contracts and loans not being continued we must fancy our chances of catching them and finishing 4th bottom.

    Think we need to win at least 5 out of 9, tough ask considering we only won 8 out of 37 before everything stopped. These are strange times though so owt could happen.

    I'm convinced we'll get five wins and two draws. I just don't know if that will be enough.

    Other results are going to be huge for us. Not just in how they effect the points total but how they influence the attitude of teams we play againt.

    I get that, I was meaning more about the tempo of the game. Were Nan city as pressing as before or dis they look like they were a bit off the pace?

    Villa Sheff Utd was poor. Man City were fantastic, you couldn’t tell they’d been off for months. Hard to judge Arsenal as they were up against a top side.

    Hopefully we're in the Man city category then! I know a lot is being made of Hull's problems but in essence we have to match them and then win 3 more games than them. And also match Charlton and Luton and win one or more than them. We re running out of games to do this but never say never.

    We've got the slimmest of chances, but a win this weekend put us in the frame. Lots of teams at the bottom are playing each other, including us, so anything could happen.

    They wouldnt have done had the season continued normally. Problem is now we have no idea what will happen - not hard to imagine some mid table sides not being fully committed and Hull have had time to regroup and make a fresh start.
    I dont know if the break will help us or make things harder

    It's this solitary confinement I find myself in!

    Hear me out first though; rarely does going back bring success (Nathan Jones at Luton), losing three first team players who refuse to play can't be a positive on the squad (see Charlton), losing your manager for ten days with Corona Virus could work both ways (see Charlton), Manager chaos at Birmingham, and then the likes of QPR, Blackburn and potentially others depending on how results go, what have they got to play for really? Why would they be bothered about meaningless games in front of no fans during the middle of a pandemic?

    If our intensity is right, and we don't lose confidence even when going behind, I think we've got a great chance. We're a good footballing side and I think this environment suits those teams.
