It was done at the Premier League's games last night. What do people think about it.

Dominic Raab today said he wouldn't do it as it was a sign of subjugation and defeat. I agree with him. What would be the reaction at Oakwell if the teams did it (presuming there were people in the stands to watch it!)

I think if those players feel it is an important thing to do then it is an important thing to do.

I’d be very dissapointed if our team didn’t do it .

I'd be all for it and would do it myself.

Up to the individual I suppose.

However, would be interesting to see the reaction should one player refuse to kneel before a game.

Why do you think it's a sign of defeat?

The fact that the Foreign Secretary thinks it comes from Game of Thrones is insane.

Dominic Raab with all due respect thought it was something to do with Game of Thrones - He was also surprised to find we got imports via Dover His views arent worth giving much thought to to be honest.

As for the actual question I think it would be a nice symbolic guesture if the players did it - but its up to individuals - and not really as relevant for us as we dont play the Star Spangled banner for players to stand up for before games - at least not yet anyway

Why is it when you're doing it altogether? No different to a sit down protest surely?

In Game of Thrones, people bend the knee to show that they submit to the other (usually the King or another leader)

While it sounds the same, and could possibly be seen as the same in some quarters, "taking the knee" was intended as to show respect for the anthem/flag of the USA while highlighting racial inequality.

Agree but surely we must respect individuals decisions to do what they feel is right for them..I would not necessarily wear a Blacklivesmatter shirt in place of an
Alllivesmatter shirt because sadly prejudice affects everyone worldwide...whether thru colour , religion or ethniicity
But as I said its just my individual opinion.

As I see it as regards footballers then its them standing up against racism and particularly in support of their black team mates. So I really cant see why they wouldnt want to do it.

Posh white bloke fundamentally misunderstands basis of black protest and says he wouldn't join in without offering a good reason why. The fact that he said he would take a knee for the Queen but not in support of equality says everything you need to know about him, the ignorant smarmy tw*t.

Raab saying it was from Game of Thrones is mental. So out of touch.

And anyone responding with "All Lives Matter" is completely missing the point of BLM.
