I know we have an awful record away at QPR but I was surprised just how bad it is. Our first away fixture was 1948, having only previously played QPR at home in 1910 in the cup. Hopefully the boys can recall the spirit of 1950 when the reds recorded our one and only victory at Loftus Road. That day we ran out 5-0 winners. I know there are some elderly posters on here but I’d be amazed if anyone can claim to remember that win, never mind being there to witness it. Since then our record at Loftus Road is played 25, won 0, drawn 3, lost 22. If ever there was a time to break an unwanted record today is the day.
It has to be one of the worst records of any club away to any other. Fills me with foreboding. We're utterly doomeeeeeeeedddddd. Feel free to bump this when we turn up and destroy them later. I will happily take whatever people throw at me if it happens!
They say records are made to be broken, can’t see a better opportunity than in an empty stadium! COYR
We've played 'em at Loftus Road 18 times since 1981 and I've suffered each and every one of the 17 defeats, interspersed with a 2-2 draw (Geoff Thomas and Nicky Eaden!) in 1999/2000. Obviously, I'm not going today - therefore nailed on that we'll win and I'll still not fulfill my life's quest to see us win at QPR! We won 5-0 in 1950, therefore it'll be 2-0 in 2020!
I was there for the 2-2 draw. They had Crouch on loan. He came on as sub. I was texting a London Tyke friend of mine the other day. He told me that one of their number (now sadly deceased) attended in 1950.
He hasn't told you how many times he's been to Hillsborough ! Add them all together and it becomes a suicide mission.
Fortunately (or unfortunately in this case) I lived in West London for a good while. At least with 'dem lot' I've got the ZDS game to cling to!
Bloody hell Exile that's an amazing feat. I went there first in 2013/14 (lost 2-0, Butland on loan in goal), then again in 2016/17 (Tuesday night, lost 2-1) and finally was there in 2017/18 in what I think was Hecky's last game (lost 1-0, they half 10 men for last half hour). After that I decided no more - even if they reduced their ludicrously priced tickets. In contrast, I've been to Millwall the last 5 times and seen us win 3, 2 in the last minute - never cost more than 26 quid a ticket either, and yet we always take more to QPR where it's more expensive and we literally never win. Shows the influence those horrible creatures in Bermondsey still have in keeping people away.
