You're right. If the Premier League had any integrity they would never have allowed the current owners of Man City to become so and they should not allow the Newcastle takeover.
I await your thread detailing your opposition to it with interest.
In the meantime how does that issue have anything to do with footballers taking the knee for racial equality? Would they be as hypocritical as someone who condemns those middle eastern human rights abuses but supports a government that turns a blind eye to them?

It doesn't bother me, do you see anything in my post which objects to us taking asylum seekers in? I have no issue, if it isn't true, but 463 people came on boats - and were detected in Jan-March 2020 - what number weren't detected? So I mean, objectively speaking, people have got on boats in France and come here, that cannot be denied even by the most biased of people.

its true donny not ALL refugees cross thousands of miles of europe just to come here... however,a lot do and they camp out around the french ports to then risk their lives, either in the back of trucks or on rubber dinghys that @BarnsleyReds seems to think is a myth

it DOES happen so denying it is plain daft

No no no where did I say that. that's the problem you are seeing the skin colour as the issue. That's what I mean about not just dismissing peoples fears as racism without even trying to see their point of view. They feel threatened because their community has changed they see the shops they used to use gone replaced by shop catering for the new residents not for them they see in some cases their place of worship changed to a mosque and the weren't consulted about these changes they didn't ask for them they just happened and they feel powerless. I don't know where you live at a guess I'd say as this is a Barnsley Forum it's Barnsley like me. So to be honest the situation is different here to some towns not that far away and I'm not saying this out of ignorance I collected insurance in those areas for about 10 years rightly or wrongly thats the way they feel and people who don't feel that way just shouting racist at them every time they try to make their concerns heard doesn't help.

But they’re wearing shirts which say BLM, and that is not a defined and agreed position is it?

    It's not really worth it.

I just hope our BAME players don't read this forum.

    Good night.

Edit: please don't think you've "won" because I've chosen not to respond. You've just ground me into submission. Great Britain in 2020. A shambles.

    Night all.

The whole movement is bigger than that though.

    James Milner (@JamesMilner) Tweeted:
We, the Players, stand together with the singular objective of eradicating racial prejudice wherever it exists, to bring about a global society of inclusion, respect, and equal opportunities for All, regardless of their colour or creed.

People are free to buy and sell houses wherever they like. If people don't like it they are free to move to a different area.

And have many churches actually changed to mosques?

I have no objection to us working forwards a society of equal opportunity- it seems that for non-whites there is evidence at least in politics that has born fruit- two of the highest offices in the country and run by Asians, I think that’s brilliant don’t you? I might not agree with them, but at least Pritti isn’t even upper class, so she’s disproved the class barrier and the race barrier, you’ve got to take notice of that. I really don’t like her personally btw, but you can’t deny the evidence.

I think it should have happened sooner in all honesty but yes it is a step in the right direction.

By the way, quote from that -
“We’re guided by a commitment to dismantle imperialism, capitalism, white-supremacy, patriarchy and the state structures that disproportionately harm black people in Britain and around the world.”

I mean even if we brush aside their stated aim to “dismantle Capitalism”..... the “state structures” are defined by who?? Seems pretty political to me, unless dismantling capitalism isn’t political?

A fc uking Ugandan Asian who’s happy to send Jamaicans ‘home’.
That’s a 1970’s Sitcom not a 21st century situation to be proud of.

You’re correct that she’s a horrible person, now just remember that she’s where she is because of precisely THAT and not because she’s brown and just happens to be awful.

There’s so much wrong with this, she’s an assh@le so therefore that trumped the racism which would have otherwise prevented her rise? I get that anyone who breaks the narrative that ethnics who don’t vote labour must be an Uncle Tom/ coconut or some other useful idiot for the white patriarchy, seeing her in charge must make the cognitive dissonance hard to bare.

Anyway, enough of that. How does Wilko know you're a nonce?

I'm assuming you must be because his post said if he was racist then you're a nonce and I know that one of those things is true
