There’s been 1000s upon 1000s on beaches today and over the weekend, are they all horrible people?

 

Not if they are maintaining social distancing. If not, then they are selfish f*cking idiots.

 

Give up. Tens of thousands have been protesting in Central London together, beaches have been packed on every south coast beach whenever there’s been a bit of sun. MP’s & Government ministers have taken the piss. Everywhere you look there’s been people breaking the rules throughout lockdown. A few hundred or even a couple of thousand meeting outside Anfield for an hour or two is a drop in the ocean at the side of what’s gone off.

Just seems a petty attempt to have a go at a club you don’t like.

 

Doesn’t make it any more acceptable than all the other stuff you mentioned above.

 

I’d say the first to break the rules were a lot worse as the more people that break them then the more people look at it & think ‘well if there not following the rules I’m not’. It’s wrong but it’s understandable

I can’t get all dewy eyed about Liverpool or any other premier league club winning the title. I always remember that it’s because of their greed that clubs like us are where we are, and how we are,,,,,, scratching a survival of sorts from what’s left. And we all know clubs that haven’t survived, and some that won’t. Coronavirus,,, yes, okay but it’s just speeding up the inevitable IMO. So winning the league? It should be a hollow victory.

Strange logic. Not defending DC but are you seriously suggesting all those people breaking social distancing rules, leaving litter and faeces all over parks and beaches, urinating in peoples gardens, attacking police trying to stop illegal street parties is down to two individuals?Really?
I would suggest your political views are seriously clouding your judgement and you need to take a long hard look at yourself as do those who 'liked' your post.

As I have said before, taking personal responsibility for your actions is nothing to do with Governments or individual politicians. It seems that in the UK these days many people bang on about 'my rights' without considering personal responsibilities

You mean like Dominic Cummings or Boris Johnson? The latter of who caught and nearly died from covid due to a flagrant disregard for the situation.

Of course responsibility is personal but of course why would people think instead of celebrating something they've waited for all their life, why should i not celebrate cos I'm a peasant but only those at top are allowed to ignore the rules.

Leadership is by example. If those at the top are corrupt, dishonest, and selfish, it will trickle down from there, not a great reality of human nature but a reality nonetheless

Of course there is an element of personal responsibility but I’ve said it many times, as soon as the Cummins fiasco/cover up happened the rules no longer applied and they made it a free for all ! I have no political allegiances btw.

As Redhelen has said, whether you're a PM, manager, parent... you lead by example.

Employees won't take a rule seriously if their boss blatantly flouts it. It is human nature. Whilst I don't place the blame solely at their feet, they are responsible.

 

So, by your logic, if I see someone pissing up against a wall in broad daylight, or someone in a Mercedes blasts past me at 100mph on the motorway, irrespective of their social status I think..'OK! if he does it it is OK for me to do it'.

As I said, lack of individual responsibility and blaming Govt and everyone else for your own failings is, sadly the new social disease.

 

If you saw the head of state doing those things you might have that mentality, yes. It isn't some random bloke in the street. Not sure why you can't understand the difference.

Of course we have to conduct ourselves appropriately, but when people have been locked down for months and they see people in power flouting it, it sends out the wrong message.

 

I dont think anyone consciously thinks that, but it does make people feel that it is less important to follow the rules to the letter . And you're right, some people couldn't give a toss anyway.
