    PAY ME ATTENTION then

Point that was lost, apologies, is the only genre of music speaking out and pushing the agenda is Grime.

    Show me the Ps.

There are some good grime artists around at present. But there are also artists speaking out across all genres.

Arctic Monkeys and Future Islands down. Mumford and Sons now. Going to try and indoctrinate the little one with Bon Iver tomorrow.

Bowie Sunday night is going to be the cultural highlight of the lockdown year. Never been seen in its entirety on tv

Amazing! Their Sheffield homecoming show a few years back was one of my best ever.

Watched some Dizzee. Caught a bit of The Wombats. Fuming that there's The Cribs don't feature in the 'Indie Heroes' section. Fuming.

I saw Husker Du on the Candy Apple Grey tour, at Sheffield Leadmill. Saw Sugar there too as well.

wish I went to the pulp homecoming gig no idea why I didn’t. Totally passed me by. Best few gigs I’ve been to were probably Oasis Maine Road ‘96 and Arctic Monkeys @ Leadmill 2005/6 . Both set in rock history now, so glad I went. Would love to have seen pulp, one of my favourite bands.

I was at the Candy Apple Grey good at the Leadmill. I think they played Ticket to Ride as a cover. It was also on an NME Flexi disc about the same time.

Yes, you are right. They also did the single cover of Byrds 8 Miles High.

I saw Pulp about half a dozen times, always as a support band. Mostly at the Leadmill, but the last time I saw them was Leeds Poly, supporting Saint Etienne.
