As we all know a solution won't be forthcoming, THE EFL make rules up as they go along and are spineless when it comes to really going for the big boys but the likes of Bury and Macclesfield are hounded and punished. The Premier League would like it to be a closed group with no relegation or promotion and would probably swap some of the smaller clubs for the likes of Leeds and Fulham Hopefully there will be a massive implosion and a big club will go to the wall for something to be done but we all said that with Portsmouth and 10 years on nothing has changed except more money in the game
Can’t disagree with that tbh . One of my solutions would be to stop clubs hoarding players , They take best players from lower league clubs and stick them in development teams on more wages . Stop them having a certain amount of players unless coming through ranks from a certain age . I’m sure the big boys will find a way through that tbh .
Yes of course it is I’m not disagreeing with that but I point out my post further up of players not taking up contracts with lower wages if relegated . Why would they take that risk if already on a decent 3 year contract at say Man Utd’s Third team ?
Man City prime example had something like 20 players out on loan and clubs throughout Europe same as Chelsea but never stood a chance of getting 1st team football due to the ready made superstars they sign
Yeah I know what you are saying and again it comes to down to players/agents being unrealistic and not living in the real world. We all know that it's a short career but 360k a week (Otzil) for kicking a bag of wind about is ridiculous and on most occasions in doesn't have to wash his kit as he hasn't broken a sweat
Exactly but it looks to the world they are providing facilities and opportunities to young footballers but in actual fact are hoovering up as much talent and holding clubs to random .
