    They are building houses behind us at the minute, but one of the reasons that the residents came up with why the council should not allow the development was the presence of a population of newts. The developer had to engage a company to do research, and they found newts, but unfortunately, no Great Crested ones.

    I'm not sure what they do when they find them. Do they have to round them up and escort them to somewhere safer, or do they issue them with hard hats and just carry on?
