Did Walton mis judge the direction of the ball and think it was going wide?

It was just like a half hearted dive, didn't look like he even stretched for it. Very odd IMO as it wasn't as if it was a power shot that he doesn't see until the last minute.

If he'd set off at the start, he could have had a pint and a shag before he stopped that one going in.

Forgive me, but I'm a little confused. You've had a go at other people being negative, yet you've criticised both Walton & Andersen (on another thread)? Does this mean that it IS okay to criticise whoever we want, or it isn't?

I haven't, I have simply said they have both made mistakes but not nailing them to the cross about it and throwing my Teddy out of the cot. As for Walton, I asked a question about whether he missed judged the direction of the ball or not. It looked odd.

There is a distinct difference between asking a question about something that looked odd over making a comment like.. the team are ****, sack the board..

So, it's not the criticism as such, but the level of criticism?

It was right in the corner and though it didnt break the net it wasnt that slow - I dont think he was ever going to get there from his starting position. Dont think he was really at fault for any of the goals. Most of that lies elsewhere

Well OK, yes if you bring it down to basics.

I'm sure your just fishing rather than not understanding that having a balanced discussion about a match, hoping we bounce straight back in the next match is far difference than going completely OTT.

I have never once said don't criticise. But some folk do seem to enjoy just waiting for the opportunity to be over the top negative.

So forgive me if you don't like someone being a bit positive. Someone had to counter the balance lol..

Actually, truth be told, I meant to post a photo of an angler, but forgot!:D
I believe I've been one of the more positive posters on here for donkey's years, but accept others have always thought differently. As long as I'm allowed to post my opinions, I don't have an issue with anyone posting theirs, even when they're polar opposite to mine.

Still writing this match off as a bad day at the office, definitely nerves jangling. On to the Luton match where hopefully we can put a few demons to bed. Giving Stoke some credit. They have obviously worked on set pieces and added some variation. I'd like to see Styles take a few free kicks just outside the area just to mix things up a bit.

I think he was waiting to see if it deflected off their player who jumped over it. I'm surprised nobody appealed for offside as, whilst he didn't touch the ball, he certainly seemed to affect Walton and looked yards off when it was struck.

I'm just trying to force through a wave of positive energy to counteract the dark side..

Yeah could be that I guess. Just hope it hasn't knocked his confidence. Compare that with the excellent stop he made at the end of one of the previous matches to save points..

Only one player to blame for the 2nd goal mr Anderson he minght have played well for the past 3 but he has been a consistent liability throughout the season and today the old Anderson was back with a suicide nod back to walton that lead to it all.

Admire your optimism I wished I could get mine up to your levels but unfortunately after that performance ( not the result ) I can’t .
I thought we’d progressed learnt as the season went on as a young side should but we havnt . either the players are incapable of learning, the coachings **** or the recruitment in parts is **** .
But I’ve lost any semblance of safety even if we beat Luton .

It's a little bit of everything you mention and unfortunately that's led to the situation we currently find ourselves in.
