terrible during 1st half... pixelating freezing crackly sound... tried restarting and now cant even sign in... entered username and password , hit sign in button and nothing happening. Not my bandwidth just speed tested and 20Mbs. ifollow is just not fit for purpose. Amateurs
Missed all of 2nd half so far... just a black screen after 10 minutes trying to log in. Not going to waste 130+ euros next season on this. Had lots of problems this season with poor quality pictures and freezes and lockups. Still looking at a black screen!!!
It's a poor service and not one I would ever dream of subscribing to. You had the first game where we didn't get to see all 90 minutes because of problems. I get what looks like random words jumping around the screen every now and then. Today we had no commentary until into the game. The camera work was being operated by a drunk with the worst of it after we scored and the camera missed the kick off or how Luton had got a free kick. At half time Parker talking was cut off for yet another Just Eat ad. Roll on being back in the ground.
When it runs fine, they decide to show replays of nothing over a goal scoring change. Happened a few times today, the commentators got excited but I’m still watching how a corner was won 3 minutes earlier. Awful!
Radio commentary on a game you can view only highlights how much something is overhyped. The way the commentator gets too excited doesn't relate to the chance on screen we are watching.
I don't understand the iFollow sales model. Logically, if I was running it, I'd want to give the highest quality stream possible, in high definition, compatible with every possible device, including the latest casting options. I'd want to do this in order to generate maximum sales. It's an absolute nonsense that we have users recommending the best browser and offering advice on how best to connect device X to a smart tv. The whole thing should be seamless. You shouldn't give iFollow a seconds thought once you're connected and watching the match. The fact that there are so many problems proves that the service is not fit for purpose. They'd get money out of me every season for away games if it worked ok. At the moment, not a chance.
I've had no problem at all, using Google Chrome. Certain browsers like Safari & Explorer are not good for streaming IMO.
Mine has been fine for all the matches since the re-start. I use the new Edge browser, I have 16GB RAM and 500GB SSD on a five-year old laptop. I'm using Sky wifi, not ethernet connected.
It's worked flawlessly for me other than the issues we all had for the first post lockdown game. Probably your machine or a case of PICNIC?
What are you watching on? And how good is the picture quality, compared to watching a game on a standard telly set-up in high definition? I know streaming can be problematic, but the games I've watched streamed through NowTV to a mobile and then casted on to my telly are miles ahead of the iFollow experience.
Yesterday apart from no commentary first 5 mins due to Parker being stuck was the first of the 5 where I had no issues
i have 2 servers on my dodgy iptv firestick and no vpn needed, last nights was luton comm & and eventually radio sheff, i opted for luton comm in the end, apart from the last 20 mins of the blackburn game, mines been spot on, even with telly in garden weather permitting
Cheeky sod I was a qualified MSCE MPE, and then upskilled ending up working in Telecoms innovation and design primarily on Contact centres on Computer Telephony Integration/ VoIP involved in project requirements capture, technical design documentation Authoring through, testing, implementation and ' go live' on major projects, so, whilst much has changed over the past few years I do know enough about computers not to be a complete numpty. Incidentally, I don't use VPNs preferring instead to use Smart DNS as, in my case I found that it had less impact on streaming than the DNS servers I was connecting through (albeit there is no encryption). It is cheaper too! Have same issues on both laptop and PC in studio. IT may be due to my local ISP which has a strange setup. My Internet comes from a microwave dish across the valley but I am part of a local network, hence the incoming signal from the antenna actually connects to an 'out' RJ45 socket rather than the usual 'modem in'. So I am at the mercy of the ISP for some setting. When we moved here they were the only choice as a landline was not possible, but Telecom Italia put High speed fibre down our road 3 years ago ( 2 km and 6 houses!!) at great expense although we are still waiting for the cabinets to be installed and it all to be connected as they are still debating FTC or FTH . As it is I am stuck with up to 35Mb/s down and 4Mb/s Up (usually get around 20Mb/s which isn't to shabby as when we first got it it was max 4Mb/s and often at busy time below1!)
Haha. Yeah I know you had an IT background. There was a winking face emoji but they seem to be getting stripped from my posts made from mobile. Wonder if it could be the smart dns causing issues? By the way, why do you need smart dns for ifollow? Isn't it available for Italy?
Yeah of course, it's your mobile stripping the emojis. Are you sure THIS isn't a case of PICNIC? See, some of us know how to use an emoji
