    He'll certainly not be here next season, neither will most of this squad one way or another.
    What we do have though is a nucleus of talented young players who should grow into good players in L1, under a manager who understands the league and is not too stubborn to change when his favourites aren't performing.

    Styles, Brown, Simoes, Palmer, Walton, Andersen, Oduour, Mowatt possibly, a nucleus to build a good squad around

    2 points from a possible 9 against the teams we are directly fighting against nowhere near enough unfortunately. Shame after such a positive start after lockdown.

    if league one actually starts next season
    and if we play well and are near the top we will sell any of them that stand out so we cant build a team - thats been our problem for some time - as soons as we get a decent core of players we cash in

    Struber is a top quality manager !!!
    All efforts should be made to keep him - which I’m sure the directors will do.
    Coming to Barnsley he has been dealt a poor hand - because we just haven’t got enough quality players for the Championship.
    It’s as simple as that.
    However ....... those players have worked their Ballax off ...... and that’s down to Strubers motivation.

    Luton also havnt the players but they’ve played with their hearts on their sleeves since lockdown even coming back from that Reading result ,

    Luton, Stoke and Wigan are not great sides yet when we have managed to take two points from nine. I'm sure the players are trying but there seems to be a complete lack of belief and urgency from them and the manager. I agree that we are nowhere near championship standard and we all know why but to get so close to surviving just to throw it away by playing like we have over the last three games feels like a kick in the nuts. I haven't blamed Struber since he arrived but I think his tactics and selections have cost us in the last three games. The owners, the manager and the players all have to take responsibility although not equally.

    The efforts have been top class under Struber.
    But we are carrying too many players that are not good enough for this league:
    Brown
    The Williams twins
    Mowatt
    Ritzmaier
    Bähre
    All these should never wear a Barnsley shirt again - they are just not good enough.
