    Problem is though is the board have changed the policy that brought in Connor theyve gone from signing the best players in a team from a lower league in this country to signing untried untested inexperienced kids many from aboard because it's cheaper and hoping some of em will come good they've gone from a carefully targeted policy to a scattergun approach where quality as been sacrificed for quantity. A change which clearly has spectacularly failed.

    the thing is though, what’s he speaking about him for? It’s an interview in which Conway is talking about their policy on recruitment - which Conor Hourihane has b*gger all to do with. He might as well have been speaking about Glavin, as someone else has already pointed out. He’s clearly mentioning Hourihane to score points with the Oostende fans as if they have a track record of recruiting rough diamonds and producing Premier League players when what they actually do is sell them to rivals in the same division.

    If what I’ve been told is true. The Cryne's are in open warfare with the rest of the board but can do little about the way the club is being run. Chien Lee wants to bring in investment from a Saudi hydrogen balloon tycoon. Them metal things that all young uns take at festivals. 'Hippy crack.'

    They don't have the power to do anything they own a minuscule % amount. Coming out publicly would violate the rules and place their equity in danger.

    Totally agree he was using Conor as an example because he is deemed a success but he was quoting him in context of how a spreadsheet works.

    Interesting, that’s exactly what happened at OGC, I believe the guy with 20% went public and then went out and sourced the English guy who bought them.

    The philosophy has some merit but the Championship is too tough for young players most players peak between 28 and 30.
