I used to have some but invested in some lightweight adidas walking trainers/shoes (goretex). They're much more practical as I found the Karrimor boots very weighty, but maybe some people prefer that?

I've got a pair now and they've been great so far, depends what you use them for - mine are for in the mountains or the Peak district rather than walking the dog.

The grips are a major let down in them when scrambling on slippy rocks.

Cheers, as long as they are durable I don't mind.

I have also moved to shoes as against boots. I buy the waterproof Crane Trekking shoes from Aldi at £17 ish and find they are good value.

Karrimor are now (one of) the Sports Direct own-brand for walking shoes. They could be good, but caveat emptor.

in my opinion, dont waste your money on karrimor, get some of these

    https://www.mountainwarehouse.com/f...bur-waterproof-vibram-boot-p11639.aspx/brown/

tough, feel like slippers, take hardly any padding in.

leather beats man made stuff hands down imo,i've had man made karrimors, regattas,hi tech and they are rubbish compared to these..

mountain warehouse have a shop in that outlet at castleford

these leather excaliburs are spot on mate.

Yes the shoes are far more comfortable than boots. I have had the dear boots in the past which leak and soles split, so now I look for a cheaper brand that's waterproof. The Aldi ones deffo fit the bill.

I'm on my second pair of karrimor boots then shoes I only use them for dog walking but it's surprising how many miles you do if you go every day. First pair lasted a few year and the latest pair at six months in and are still like new
