If Bournemouth do go down wont they get in bother with the efl when they get here for cheating there way to the premiership?
I think we shaded the Wigan game you are right, should have won that, but not sure on Luton- I was disappointed with our play.
When you say 'going down fighting', do you mean realising they're f*cked before putting some effort in? I didn't see much 'fight' when they got battered at Newcastle, or all the other games they've lost, since lockdown.
We had most of play and most chances at Luton. Think Luton only had two chances if memory serves besides the gift of a goal .
Thought we should have been 2 or 3 up by half time against Luton , apart from Berry scoring an excellent goal we totally dominated , whilst the second half was even steven but we did score an equaliser & could even have sneaked a late winner . I thought the Wigan match was a far tighter game in which we opened brightly but by half time we could have been losing , however the two clear cut chances we squandered cost us the 3 points , overall we could have ended up with 6 well deserved points , but thats football .
You do realize we've lost one match since the restart & we are still in with a fighting chance bit harsh saying we're not fighting, we deserved 6pts against Luton & Wigan but just fell short, lets see if we've any fight tomorrow.
I don’t understand this post. If there’s one thing we have done it’s fight, it’s quality we’ve lacked
I agree with you. I think we've worked our b0llocks off. They've put the effort in, and they've never let their heads drop. Considering we're almost certainly going down, I cannot fault their application. In their heart of hearts, the players might not believe they can survive, and they might think the manager has not used his squad in the way he should, but they've done the best they can. We aren't quite good enough. So be it. I expect to see willingness and hard work. I've had that. Fair enough.
Did we? How many goal scoring opportunities did we create? We might have looked better on the ball in the middle but were completely toothless in the final third. We needed six points and weren’t good enough to get them against poor opposition on the day. We only scraped an equaliser against Luton by whacking the big lad up top in desperation. We weren’t good enough to win either game. We weren’t unlucky, we didn’t deserve the win on either occasion. I won’t say they aren’t trying, fighting if you like; just havent been good enough.
Bit unfair we lack ability not spirit. We leave everything on the pitch but just are nowhere near food enough to compete at this level.
Unfortunately in a relegation battle getting an A for effort doesn't keep you up if you get a U for attainment.
I was replying Bournemouth deserving a draw Using your logic they didn’t deserve a draw because they didn’t score the goals which is fair enough but using the OPs logic if Boutnrmo We had more of the play and more chances than the opposition so using the OPs logic we deserved to win .
It's just a shame the bag's wet and made of paper, the pints frothy and the rice pudding has skin on it.
