Don't think heads have dropped at all, we are holding our own at the moment against the team at the top of the table. Need to see better movement from the 2 up front and equally more quality in the delivery to them. Tell you what, if we are relegated, reckon Styles will really shine next season..
What to sign some more superstars like the ones we signed last summer to replace the players we cashed in on last summer.
As long as we get good value then so be it, everybody knows that is how we remain sustainable financially.. This plan is supposed to slowly improve on the quality through the profit made. So if we do sell a player at a good profit, we just need to ensure the parameters are adjusted to bring in a player at a potential level above.. I see no issue with the philosophy at all providing they have learnt the lesson about too many sales at one time..
Really, sell players that are proven good league 1 players. That’s not to say the Board won’t sell, but we should keep these players that did so well in League 1 previously.
I agreed with the policy until the board changed it. We used to buy the best players in a team now we just buy in bulk and hope.
Neither can I. Six different players should have scored for us in this game but a big fat zero took their chance.
Trouble is, we bought the best players in our lower leagues.. It just hasn't really worked on the foreign front.. So providing the board have realised this and fix it next season, then good. If they repeat the mistake then fair enough be more critical.
We are essentially player retailers. Buy bulk at wholesale prices and hope to make a good mark-up. Unfortunately, the wholesalers have sold us substandard goods on a ‘sale but no return’ basis.
