    There may not be an announcement or any devastating news at all. If there is, I have no idea what it is. I'm certainly not arguing that it will be about our finances.

    I was just making the point that every club will be losing money hand over fist. Player contracts, by far the biggest outlay for all clubs, were signed with certain expectations regarding income during the length of those contracts. That income will now not be met. The shortfall will be huge. Every club will run out of money, it's just a matter of time. I don't know when that will be for us, but if the situation remains it will happen.

    Nah if struber left it would be fine they'd just hire the realpreal number 1 target who Paul Conway has been chasing since he was a 20 year old lad. And if he left too we'd go for the REAL number one target who Chien has had his eye on since he was a fetus

    I cant see Administration next week either - we just sold 7000 season tickets - OK at a reduced price and allowing for concessions etc it still gives us between 1.5Million and 2 million in cash now. I cant see that we have bills we cant pay in the short term. We just sold Wilks for allegedly around 1.3Million so thats his wages not needing paying and assuming Hull dont stiff us cash coming in. I can see the club being worried that longer term we may run out of cash - but in that case we sell our best players It has to be something else. There is a risk we might not get all the money we are owed for Moore, but that only happens if Wigan are liquidated. The league wont allow them to walk away with unpaid football debts

    If Conway has been mouthing off at the EFL like he has in the papers it wouldn't be the biggest shock in the world if they expel us from the league. If you go around calling people associated with the league 'cheaters' and threatening to sue them in court I can't see the EFL taking too kindly to that

    In the absence of official and updated news, people make stuff up. Clearly there are still leaky buckets inside the club too. I think most stuff is rumour. But i was thinking a few weeks ago. If the revenue gets cut by 6m, the ST sales are 30% down (not sure if this is in the 6M), zero ancillary revenue for 3 months while costs are high, then how would the owners manage this deficit when they clearly have stated they want the club to be self sufficient (i.e. no hand outs from owners). Then the options are:-

    - Sell players
    - Sell other assets
    - cut costs in a major way

    I came to the conclusion that player sales will be inevitable and that the closing of the academy or part of was a realistic option. Especially given Cryne used to pop a million or so every season into the Academy then that funding has gone too.

    The council will be strapped for cash after all the Covid 19 stuff wouldn't surprise me if the board buy the ground from the council separate it from the club put the club into admin then they've got prime building land 2 minutes from town centre and railway station and all of a sudden the reason they bought BFC but refuse to put any money in becomes crystal clear. Call me paranoid if you want but it wouldn't shock me at all if this happened.
