Yes because I think we’ll do well in this div next season and consolidate mid table . If we relegated I don’t think we come straight back up .
I imagine the staff who will lose there jobs are. It loses money for the club and the town in general plus I'd rather see 5500 villa fans on a tuesday night than 55 accrington fans
Consigned to it yes, bothered yes. No guarantee when will come back to this level and the good work of last year has effectively being thrown away.
If we get relegated, so be it. Nothing we can do. BUT, if we stay up it will be massive just on principle. If Wednesday and Wigan go down it'll prove that cheaters don't win. Plus it'll be stability for the club, a base to push forward instead of starting again. Wednesday's outcome will decide how the next, at least, 3 years of Barnsley Football Club will be I reckon. So yes, I'm slightly bothered about the prospect of it.
Yes because we're not outclassed in this division - just out finished. And with some shrewd additions and system tweaks we could be comfortable at this level. However, if we go down I do think we'll be Well equipped to make an immediate return.
A club is only as good as its directors. Other than the Stoke match I have really enjoyed watching the Tykes since the restart after lockdown. As a team full of young players it’s been fabulous to watch. We are in a good place at the club at the moment - but that is obviously dependant on the continued support from the directors - and on evidence of past statements I think that support will continue.
I am bothered, but only because of the current situation. I prefer L1 football in most situations, but I can't see League 1 playing next season, or at least not 'normally'
The directors have come up with a plan - that hasn’t worked during the season ...... but has started to work towards the end of the season - which is obviously too late. But who dosen’t love watching us play now ??? I know it’s very frustrating - because we have young players that for example choose to pass before shooting - but overall it’s fantastic to watch. We battered Leeds. And we just battered Nottingham. We should have won both teams by at least 3 clear goals. As I’ve said - if the directors keep onboard - which we have no reason to doubt - then we are in a very good place. Building that building one layer of bricks at a time.
Every genuine fan is bothered of course they are , we all want them to do well & play at the highest level we can , however , I will add that with the current state of the world ,with lives being lost all over the planet ,then it puts football results into perspective , after all its just a game .
