Otherwise the money is deemed to have been donated to the Academy. I have a feeling quite a few people may have not seen the original post or have forgotten. Obviously, if you want to donate it that’s great but I don’t want anyone to miss the deadline just because they weren’t aware.

    Thank you for your message.

All at Barnsley FC hope that you are safe and well amidst the current uncertainty.

We appreciate that you are requesting a refund for your remaining entitled 2019/20 fixtures accredited to your seasonal membership. At this moment, we are awaiting clarification from the EFL and stakeholders regarding potential resumption of the Sky Bet Championship.

Once we have received irrefutable clarity, we will begin the process of refunding. Until then, we will continue to file all requests.

However, alternatively you are also entitled to a ‘Four Game Flexi-Ticket’. This ticket grants supporters to a seat for four home league games that can be used across the next two seasons (2020/21 or 2021/22).

Alternatively, supporters can add their four entitled games to our pledge of donating 6,000 complimentary tickets to NHS staff and key workers in our local community.

Does this mean I still have to e-mail the club via the link?

It doesn't say so, it just says you have to wait and giving you more options.

That's how I read it but the link came out after I'd e-mailed them directly. I'm just going to wait it out and use their reply as my receipt. Cheers :)

I went onto the site a week ago to claim my flexi tickets and couldn’t manage it. It seemed to think I was trying to BUY tickets and something about reassigning. I gave up after several attempts

Make sure you only select one not four. A lot of people were having that problem at the start as it’s one flexi-ticket that covers all games. I’d definitely give it another try if I was you.

It gave new one per season ticket so I selected two.

Is it only me who hates the phrase "Seasonal Membership"? Why not just call it a season ticket?

It's because it feels like Christmas when you open up the box and see your Chien Lee Barnsley F.C chocolate dildo.

Are you sure you didn’t manage to do it successfully before? I got an email receipt, you could check if you have one?

Edit: when I sign in to the Box Office, directly under my name it says

    Four Game Flexi Ticket

    Current Season Ticket Holder

    Does yours say that?

But the rumour was we were getting rid of the academy, so then where would the money go...

I'm sure I'm in a minority but I've requested my refund solely on the basis that the club have made it difficult to do so. They are not alone in this practice, airlines been the main culprits currently. I don't like companies basically holding my money hostage.
I understand the practice, if they made it easy to get a refund more people would. I just don't like it.

My parents set me a bank account up with the Yorkshire bank which I carried on using when I started working to put my savings into. I was happy to use them until I went to make a withdrawal and I needed a signature from my parents as they set the account up. I got the signature and closed the account.

I'm adopting the same treatment as you. Ignoring the options, having already received a confirmation of the refund request previously.

I agree that it isn't exactly clear what you should do regarding selecting the options, as it's essentially trying to steer people towards selecting one of the flexi-ticket options, but the implication is that those with refund requests still pending shouldn't do anything at this stage if they want them to continue.

They probably hoped that being the only club in the Championship* to make all games free to watch on iFollow would mean that the refund route was chosen the least and the other options would be the most popular/easier to navigate through. I haven't actioned anything though so no idea what's confusing and difficult to use and what isn't.

Everyone is rightly entitled to a refund, but not seen much positive noise that we've gone above and beyond other teams in terms of access to the last nine games.

    * I think this is true. Shoot me down if I'm wrong.
