So after the final whistle has blown , are we going to get to know what is going to happen to the ? I think a points deduction that will keep them in this league because the authorities like them . They should be docked more than Wigan .
Just on this topic. We've all been speculating that a potential 12 point deduction would be reduced to say 9 so that they stay up. However, now the final table is in, 9 points would relegate them so another conundrum for EFL or panel or whoever is supposed to be dealing with this **** shower.
read messages posted that we've only stayed up due to a team getting docked, simple answer is don't try to cheat in the 1st place! assuming the efl uphold wigan's -12 pts, charlton will now feel aggrieved that sheff weds punishment isn't being imposed now, though if it were and they stayed up they would have to pay that dodgy ex chairman £1.5m and think most of their fans would rather drop than pay him
Its all gone quiet on the Owls front - they need to make an announcement soon or it will be too late for this season. Wonder if Charlton will sue if they let Wednsday off the hook
Apparently Charlton themselves are in some form of financial trouble with the EFL and some of their fans expect that they will be docked points as well
They will get it docked next season if so as they would have been relegated with there points total anyway
It's now better for us if they get them docked next season so we've less to fight against. Think they could be in real trouble as they'll have a massive squad turnover.
Yes I know,it's just alarming how many clubs are in financial trouble, although perhaps we shouldn't be too surprised
What if Wednesday would end up below them so they're saved? Would it then apply after all? But then Wigan would be saved, so theirs wouldn't apply this season anymore? It's a right mess. Fair chance anything regarding Charlton would end up being investigated/finalised next season anyway, but it's a theoretical mess!
Wigan's would apply anyway. The points would only have been moved into next season if they'd been relegated even without it.
