I don't see how an appeal can happen, if they do not have a new owner.

I know they're arguing about the circumstances that led to it, with the owner, but the end result is still the same. They could end up being in admin, dodge or delay the punishment, without any idea of who the new owner will be, let alone what their intentions will be to creditors. How would that not be a 'sporting advantage'? that the EFL look to deter.

That's good news. He was the former deputy chair of the EFL. He would have had some sway. It suggests possibly their finances are worse than first thought and/or their appeal is futile. Don't wish bad on the fans but football as a whole needs to get a grip of its finances.

Result of appeal to be announced by EFL "some time after that date (31st July)" - so we just have to sit in limbo for as long as the EFL sees fit???

If it takes as long as the Bambo farce we could be waiting a long time

I think creditors have the right to ask for someone else to administer it. Who's the main one I wonder

That’s ok. We will get on with fixtures against Norwich and the like and they can make plans for their massive local derbies with Accrington and Fleetwood

You couldn’t make it up English football awash with debt and cheating yet Wigan fans have all the sympathy and clubs such as us and Luton. who play by the rules are especially in our case the Pantomime villains ffs

It’s not that long, don’t forget, that Luton had their hands dirty as well. They had massive points deductions which, effectively, saw them lose their league status. They’re on the way back now and good luck to them.

Good. Better withdraw that expensive appeal, lads. Have they paid the balance for Moore yet?

What infuriates me is that night Leicester beat us 0-3 and all the away fans were singing " we're too good for you" yeh coz you were £ 103 million in debt & their owner( god rest his soul ) wrote the debt off. how are we supposed to compete with that? :(
