Prior to Wigan

    There have been 19 EFL clubs dumped into admin that have incurred points deductions. One in the Premiership, Crystal Palace.
    Up to around the last 4 or 5 the points deduction was 10 points with the last few being 12.
    There are no precedents, as far as I can see, of a club going into admin and not getting points deducted prior to 2004.
    In 2019 the EFL changed the points deduction from 10 to 12 points.
    This affected Bolton, and Bury and now, hopefully Wigan.
