Nudger's Bridge will be the Tarn equivalent of La Sagrada Familia: we'll still be walking all the way round in 2050.
The original timescale under which the bridge should have opened last year had it taking just over 7 months from start of construction on its lift to it being ready for handover. 1 month for installation of the lift and 6 months for the bridge itself
Should be finished by November/December 2021. Which is when I thought it was opening anyway. More info here: https://theglassworksbarnsley.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/The-Glass-Works-Essential-Works-Advert.pdf There’s lots of groundworks to be completed first, and the cineworld external works have to be complete before they can start on the bridge.
The sooner we get a different political party in charge at the town hall - the better it will be for all the residents of Barnsley.
