Appreciate your updates on here YT! Reminds us that there's real people working behind the scenes, not just a faceless billionare!
It would be silly for a company to hold that much just in cash. By "accounted for" I'm assuming that they're talking more about a combination of reserves and cash flow. It's still going to mess everything up if your incomes dries up overnight - any restaurant or bar owner will know that only too well!
Tried that but it just keeps popping up error code 16. Got gist of it from Gallys summary thanks anyway
I'm just trying to get you used to the new improved soccer commentary that will be on iFollow next season. Matt has been asked to provide a more global commentary style. I've seen some of the new terms he has to learn over the summer: shut-out clean sheet in the six in the six-yard box PK penalty kick match ups man markers on frame shot on target steal tackle in the wheelhouse good spot to strike the ball out of bounds out of play uniform kit cleats boots offence attack hotbox penalty box cross ball a cross rejected saved (by goalkeeper) roller ball along the ground the foul play foul premier half first half double team two person tackle from 12 from the penalty spot
I've lived over here for 25 years Gally, so I'm now bilingual. I even pronounce Tomato and Z (in)correctly.
Not surprised at all to learn we were worried about finances in July. I'm sure many other clubs are too. But we're far from secure. Last season we sold, to be conservative. 10,000 season tickets. That's adults and OAPs and kids. Let's say that averages out at £300 per ticket. So we made £3 million, to last us the year. That's 250,000 per month. For next season we've sold 7,500 season tickets. At about £150 per ticket. So we made just over £1.1 million. We've still got the same overheads, we still need the £250,000 per month to pays the bills. Our £1.125 million won't even get us to the winter. It's gone before bonfire night. And there's no additional money. No pay on the gate. No corporate. If we were running out in July, we haven'y got anywhere near enough to get us through a season. We're miles short.
Not sure if mentioned but the Bundesliga is awash with talented players from the US. Hopefully we’ll have a look and find gold.
