Season ticket money isn't our only income stream though is it. We will be receiving instalments for players sold, sponsorship, merchandise etc. There's also the £6 million for being in the division. I haven't a clue when it is paid, but regardless of whether it's the start or end of the season, we should be getting some soon.

Every avenue of income is reduced. Hugely. Every single one.

The £6 million for being in the division is increased season ticket sales, increased revenue from away fans, increased pay on the gate, increased money from sponsors due to bigger crowds, increased merchandise, and it all adds up. It's not a cheque you're given.

£6 million is the difference in turnover from all income streams. Well, it has been for us as we've yo-yo-ed about. However, it's a bit misleading as our expenditure is always much lower in League 1 due to clauses in players' contracts which means we pay them much less if we're relegated.

No it isn't. It's £6.8 million and it's all prize money (see my reply to Gally).

Thanks for that whitey .. Good read as always..hopefully .I'm not being negative in my response but it would be nice to know what the board see as the mistakes they made.. And Which they are prepared to hold their hands up to.. Plus hopefully are also prepared to learn from...or is it just lip service to appease the majority... . Without harping on about the subject I'd personally like to know along with many more no doubt... is when is Paul Conway going to release a statement and apologise to us all for the appalling actions re the 21 word statement that was released over the Daniel Stendel sacking. Call me old fashioned but that action alone in my opinion was embarrassing and tarnished not only the club and it's employees but the town and its people too..not the way we do things in these parts... to this day it sticks in my throat and no doubt is one of the reasons why I find it hard to believe a word that comes from Paul conways mouth... His sound bite responses do little to win me over either nor does his implying he and his gang were responsible for in part for CH achieving success ... Until he in my option grows a pair and comes out of hiding I for one will hold him in contempt .. As will many more no doubt... Anyway keep up the good work and thanks for all your hard work.. Once again... ... Bye the way off topic . did you ever find out if any of the lads were vegan... Cheers

You appear to be arguing that the huge reduction in income that every club is experiencing will not have any effect on their finances, despite the fact that outgoings remain the same. Could you take us through that, because I think every business would like to know how a loss in turnover but constant outgoings leads to the same profit. What you've stumbled upon is fKucing genius, the world needs to know, it's a total game changer. The Nobel Prize is not far away mate, I can assure you. Make sure you patent it mate because you've defied so many physical constants.

No hissy fit, you didn't correct me, you just took an absurd argument forward.

Look back at my answers. You said the £6 million was an accumulation of benefits from being in the Championship. I corrected you and said that it was all prize money. There was no need to launch the tirade that you have.

I've looked back, your argument is that the massive shortfall in revenue that we, and every other club, is currently experiencing, won't make a difference. Clearly it will.

And where you tried to correct me, you got it completely wrong. So I'm not sure what your point is.

I didn't say anything of the sort. You were saying that we had to live off a reduced amount of season ticket money and it wouldn't last the year. I pointed out that there's the £6 million prize money as well. You said it wasn't all prize money and I proved that it was. Now you are completely making things up.

6million is roughly the difference in EFL distributions and roughly also the amount we lost in revenue the last time we went down to league one from a revenue point of view because it mostly comes down to the reduction of EFL distribution.

    2018 Total revenue 14m
    8m efl distribution
    4m matchday revenue
    2m commerical

    2019 Total revenue 7.78m

The drop was primarily down to reduced EFL distributions and Premier League Solidarity payments. These were down to £2.36m from £7.88m the year before.
Ticketing revenues also fell due to a reduction in the average attendances from 13,695 in 2017/2018 to 12,527. Matchday income was £3.1m, down from £3.62m. However, sponsorship and advertising revenue increased to £556,842 from £509,976.
An operating loss of £4.8m was recorded, compared to a £1.4m loss the year before. However, this was reduced to £3.4m following a £1.3m profit on player trading.
In their report accompanying the results, the directors said: "Due to responsible spending in the previous season the club was able to incur this loss using existing working capital, whilst still maintaining a healthy cash balance and avoiding external debt."
The club's wage bill reduced to £7.25m in 2018/19, compared to £9.65m the season prior.

The EFL distributions presumably will continue next season so we would have more than just season ticket money to live off.

Am I? Ok. So you agree that my initial point, that we haven't got nearly the same income as we previously had, and that will have a massively adverse effect on us going forward is absolutely valid. So WTF are you talking about? Why are you arguing?

If you don't agree, tell us all how losing millions won't leave us in trouble

If you agree, why the hell are you challenging my point?

I'm making things up? No I'm not. I'm responding to someone who hasn't a single clue why they're even writing.

I'm not wasting any more time talking to you. Everyone else can see that what I've posted doesn't bear any resemblance to what you are saying. That's good enough for me.
