Up the Bees. 90 minutes away from a Pinnock promotion clause and once he's played in the top flight our sell on clause will look rather meatier too. Cha ching.
After watching that game tonight has increased my appreciation as to how much our boys have improved under Struber. Our 2-1 victory on the seasons final day at Griffin Park was no fluke and was thoroughly deserved. We literally outplayed a team that on tonights showing, could well be plying its trade in the Premiership next term. We have to hope that our Board can convince Gerhard and our better players, that their futures do lie at Oakwell and underpin that claim by bringing in additions to the squad that give us a fighting chance of initially stabilising our position in the Championship and in time, without doing anything crazy, can hopefully build a squad capable of mounting a challenge for promotion to the top division. If Brentford and Fulham can do it, there's no reason to doubt that in time, we can as well.
Ethan was an absolute rock at the back for Brentford tonight. Didn't panic and unlike his partner Jansson kept his cool and effectively cleared his lines when called upon. The careless mistake that Pontus made for Swanseas second goal was very poor and probably illustrated why Leeds made the decision to offload him. Every time I've seen him play, it's been evident he had a tendency to do something wrong and which has on occasions invariably lead to a goal for the opposition.
He immediately started pointing the finger at teammates as well even though it was an absolute clanger. He's a proper *****.
It was after there had beeb trouble in their semi against Bradford. He said he'd "seen worse" and asked Millwall fans to create a "hostile atmosphere" at Wembley. Scummy tw*t.
What a great two days for the play offs. I could not be happier and for it to also happen to Harris is even better
Fulham appeared to be a bit nervous tonight which is puzzling really as they went into the tie two nil up from the away leg in Cardiff. They conceded two tonight but also managed to grab a goal which was good enough to put them in the final. They hit the post with one effort, but on a couple of occasions were a tad fortunate not to concede more than two goals tonight. On balance, having watched both play offs, I have a feeling that Brentford have rediscovered their best form at just the right time and might just have too much for Fulham .With their pace, I have a feeling "the Bees " might be better equipped to use the wider space that Wembley provides. On paper it looks to be a very attractive game and I for one am looking forward to watching it.
Just watched the highlights on Quest. Cardiffs headed goal should have been chalked off as Ward quite clearly impeded the Fulham keeper Rodak by quite blatantly wrapping his arm round him, thus preventing him from attempting to clear his lines. Never mind, justice prevailed.
