Only thing we’ll know for sure is someone on the Wigan side ‘in the know’ will leak and someone on here too.
With the Hearts case that they lost the BBC had written the copy, and it was on twitter a full day before official statements came out. And the fact they lost against the SPFL despite some very irregular happenings with the Dundee vote makes me feel Wigan wI'll lose against the EFL, not us but the EFL.
The 6000 pages, if true, will be the documents bundle not the defence. it would be about 12 lever arch bundles which is pretty heavy going for a one day case and would undoubtedly piss the panel off immensely!
Good thinking. Hearts challenge was the biggest one yet. Relegated with plenty of games. Sfa are like a brickwall though i dont know about efl will see
Hasn't any new owner got to find £1 million straight away to pay wages this month? Doesn't sound like an attractive proposition to me.
Why am I seeing so many statements from Wigan fans and players that suggest they shouldn’t be relegated because they weren’t one of the 3 worst teams? Why does it feel like they think they’re the first team to be relegated after a points deduction? This isn’t the first time it’s happened and, with the state of finances in football at the moment, is unlikely to be the last!
0 They dont seem to think without the cheating in their financial side of things, they might be were we was but we wouldnt know that until teams played fair. So their position was a default for not playing on fair grounds. Simple
This is really doing my t*ts in too. Every team that benefited in the past from another teams 12 points deduction deserved to stay up. We’re no different.
Like Morsy, for example: "The three worst teams who get the least amount of points should be relegated and we all know that. But unfortunately this season it's going to be decided in the boardroom and not on the football pitch which it should be." https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53601330 Disingenuous nonsense.
Doesn’t he realise that if the ‘new owners’ weren’t allowed to take over, they would have been in exactly the same position....
Or to paraphrase "The teams who play by the rules should be relegated and leave us cheats to get on with it"
There's nothing factually wrong with it, it's just disingenuous as I say. He knows full well that a) the strength of the teams on the pitch was heavily influenced by Wigan's overspending and b) it's hardly a situation new to "this season".
I think the arguments put forward by Wigan fans can be summed up as; Wigan athletic had no way of knowing what the owners of Wigan Athletic would do The new owner that bought the club and immediately put it into administration, acted against what he'd said he would do At the same time, the new owner was actually put in place by the old owner to do exactly what he did do. Wigan Athletic didn't go into administration until the season had finished Wigan Athletic wait until the season finishes to decide whether to appeal Sam Morsy thinks it's wrong because they didn't spend £50m in the summer The Sam Morsy and the rest of the playing staff earn more money than Wigan Athletic is irrelevant to the solvency of the club There has been no sporting advantage, because of this there should be no punishment for being funded by the owners that we are now calling shady There has been no sporting advantage, because of this a new owner should be allowed to take over and only be liable for a quarter of non-football debts incurred. Of course, there is no way that these savings would be passed onto Sam Morsy and the rest of the playing staff. Wigan Athletic only went into administration because of Covid-19. This is force majeure. And nothing to do with being run by people that we also blame for going into administration Apparently their QC has said that so much information has been passed to him, that he couldn't possibly use it all. I suspect that is polite for, he can only use stuff that's relevant and proven. All that said, I fully expect Wigan to get a favourable result. They've laid it on thick, and sometimes it's just a case of who has the best lawyer.
We'll piss this case. I believe our involvement in these proceedings is just Paul Conway silently pointing in a threatening manner at whoever is talking at that time. Even the independent panel.
Not sure it has it’s a bit above me but there’s thousands da of buisness men and people that know how systems work so I’m sure they could work a structure out using these people .
