It did mean relegation pending the hearing in front of this panel, that don’t like confirming relegations...

They've barely spent in the last year or two, and moved on a lot of the high-earning baggage.

Chansiri now has the green light to spend daft again, over another three year period.

Very concerning that this independent panel have given what is - in essence - the most pleasant of punishments. Very concerning.

Not really. Will be different panels hearing it, and they’ll reach outcomes independently. Even if a 12 point deduction kept them safe, it should still be applied the season the charge and hearing take place

No, because -12 points puts them bottom and down.

So.... they committed foul play this season (or maybe even last season!), but the penalty will be applied next season so they have a chance of staying up. Sounds about right. I don't know of any other sport where foul play penalties are being applied to the future. Maybe they also should've taken Armstrong's next seven Tour wins away rather than his past seven, that obviously makes a lot more sense!

Ahhh yes....in the heat of the moment I'm looking at any old tosh that gets bandied about on Twitter.

    Just dead nervous.

It seems to me we have got an appeals panel that is totally out of sync with the mandate of the EFL of cleaning up the league .
It needs disbanding ASAP and something in its place that understands the agenda imho .
Get rid of the doddering old boys brigade and let’s get serious about the future existence of the EFL before it’s swallowed up by greed and fraud completely .

There own rules say it has to be applied at end of the existing season, love to hear the explanation for this

See above. -12 puts them bottom and down.

How does it make sense? Or am I missing something? -12 points applied this season puts them bottom.

I do think the timing is suspect. They've had since turn of the year to sort this out and it comes out the day Wigan's appeal is heard?

This is the concerning part. An independent panel has somehow thought this was the most appropriate punishment.

    An independent panel.

This is why I worry about the Wigan case - I have no faith. Are you still confident?

The efl are ***** completely out of touch the offence was this season not next. The punishment should be now. They are not fit to run a good dinner never mind the football league

The independent appeals panel are now the enforcers and interpreters of what’s best for our league . Let’s have a petition to get shut and put something fair and worthwhile in place .
