No problem with Wigan fans. The bit I don’t get is the amount of support they’re getting from other Clubs.
The Wigan fans will still have a club to support next season, as far as I am aware? Albeit in League One. They shouldn't have cheated. The end. Sorry.
The fans are blameless. My comments are aimed at past boards and owners. I used to work with a lad who scouted for Wigan Rugby League Club. The things he told us about the tactics used to remove the Rugby directors from any ownership of the new Stadium ( now known as the DW) were horrendous.
Yeah. I have no quarrel with them. This sort of event always brings out the vocal minorities on both sides, who always happen to be absolute c*nts and that is what we all see, the worst of both sides. I just hope the EFL and all clubs look at this season and make any changes needed regarding ownership.
There’s some proper helmets of fans of ours, trolling them on twitter already. Fans of other clubs have been making us out to be the bad guys, wrongly, obviously, but fans like these don’t exactly help.
No problem with the Wigan or their fans. They needed an outlet for their woes and they chose us. We were the wrong choice. We just happened to be the club that would benefit from their punishment, but had Charlton scraped another point their issue would have been with them. Their issue should be with the owners over years who overspend and saw it eventually catch up with them.
Not sure there's any guarantees and this probably wont have helped them. Feel for their fans but unfortunately we need a few more clubs to go the way wigan have in order for the EFL or the Government to do something about the crazy situation in football finances.
I am the most bitter person you could ever wish to meet when it comes to football. Full of hatred for virtually every other club. So, yes, you'll not be surprised to know I am sticking the boot in on Twitter, and loving every second of it.
Yep! I nearly put that in my response. If anyone looks at the UK map, they’ll be like “why is that a rivalry?”
Sympathy for the minority of fans who disagreed with their policies over the last few years. None at all for the majority who have quite literally supported and unsustainable policy of cheating
Mick and Tommy Tyke are not the same people are they? Tommy Tyke was Chris Corke, the guy with the wine was Mick in Oz (or something........ I thought
Agreed. It's an awful thing to happen to any club and it's supporters, not to mention the players and a clearly decent manager.
