In fairness, @fired did indicate that it wasn't the right thing to do.

I have got two issues with the judgement against Sheffield Wednesday. The first one is that they broke the FFP rules, and then they tried to cover up the fact. Their attempt to hide their guilt should have earned them another 9 penalty points. The second thing is that they should have been punished last season. I am not talking about what is best for Barnsley FC. I am talking about what is best for the future of the game in England. If decisions are not taken on the basis of what is the proper thing to do, then there will always be doubts about the integrity of the governing body of the sport. There will always be the suspicion that money talks, and that can never be right

Just to clarify - although BFC would be better off letting it lie, that would absolutely be the wrong thing to do. Wednesday should be punished this season, and I would be impressed if we as a club stuck to our guns and pushed for it - even if we're better having a team in our division on -12.

The feeling around here is that they have got away with it. That said, they still hate the EFL, and think they should be allowed to spend what they want.

Really don’t see point in 12 points next season. All they have done is delayed their relegation. Like when Luton started season on -30 or whatever it was. Just relegate them

We should make sure Wednesday get their deduction this season and go down saving Charlton. Then Charlton get their deduction next season in the championship!

The rule abiding clubs should stand together (I’m avoiding the word united) against the cheats. Surely if all clubs said they won’t stand for it things would have to change. If clubs vote on EFL rules they ought to be able to propose rule changes.

To me I would prefer to see Wednesday relegated. I can see that if they are allowed to stay up they
will start on minus twelve, but relegating them will send a really strong message to the cheats
of the future, that at the end of the day, they will be punished. I honestly think demotion to League
Two and the imposition of twelve points would be an ultimate and fair deterrent.

I find it pretty outrageous that the deduction has been made next season. Looks and smells like skullduggery to me.

we should stick to our principles and support Charlton

Win-win situation for us! Though I know which outcome I'd prefer.

The sad thing is that it appears that the people who are cheating are also the same people voting on league rules. Wed seem to have been rewarded by an extra season in the championship, extra revenue etc. But remember we have seen Cardiff (transfer ban for withholding Sala payment) and Birmingham (Profit and sustainability irregularities - again, leading to a reprimand), Derby charges awaiting outcome also pending. How many clubs are operating in the rules?

I think they will stand a chance of scraping survival next season, they know the position they are in and have some half decent players, the tricky bit will be recruitment but I would not be shocked to see them scrape survival. Hope I am wrong though as would love to see them drop. Wish they would have just docked them this season.
