https://forums.vitalfootball.co.uk/threads/barnsley-fan-in-peace.107025/page-2 just read the thread through Jesus. Appreciate these Wigan fans are upset but they’re not exactly the country’s finest legal minds. Worrying how they still fail to grasp the situation. a particular favourite: ‘Clubs go into insolvency normally for a reason - they owe money. We didn't. The Owner simply decided to stop paying the bills.’
I don’t agree with the op of that post about the owner test. They could make it a lot more strict, hard to pass or whatever. If I was loaded and had earnt my money legally what would stop me doing what the Wigan owner did? with all the ***** the Wigan fans have posted in the past few days if I could be arsed signing up to their forum I wouldnt be a Barnsley fan in peace
Amazing they spend so much time telling other fans to educate themselves into Wigan’s issues but totally overlook any others. “They should be calling for their managers head after such a terrible season where they never made it out of the bottom three.” Honestly did feel sorry for em. Now I couldn’t give a ****. Load of entitled knobheads.
I think it’s time to leave them alone. What more have we got to win in baiting them at this juncture?
It's a lot of fun. After the online QCs were convinced they'd won their appeal, it's great to get stuck into them. Their attitude towards Barnsley has been awful ever since the outcome of the Brentford game. I'm happy to keep sticking the knife in - it's nothing less than they deserve.
They are bound to feel resentment and I for one feel really sorry for their rank and file fan base, but with respect, they really shouldn't be venting their spleen on Barnsley FC. We were invited to offer an opinion to their enquiry and after hearing all the facts the tribunal upheld the original decision re- the imposition of a twelve point deduction with immediate effect. It could have been Charlton Athletic or Hull City that benefitted from their demise, but as it turned out, it was us. We shouldn't be blamed for that. The rule is quite clear and visible to every single Club, before ever a ball is kicked at the start of the season.
Best to stay off their forums. Emotions are high and they are hitting out at the world. I've got a Wigan supporting mate, but not seeing him until October. I'll leave it that way. You can see there is a bit of divide between the old time supporters (all pretty reasonable) and the fair weather ones who jumped aboard when the cash flowed (incandescent with rage).
If you are going to debate the awitan fans don't get drawn into it all. "Wigan went into Administration" the end.
Read this yesterday, thought our poster came across very well, no boasting or acting as a WUM, but apart from one or two of the wigan posters they were all quite vitoral towards him, good to see him keep calm and remain respectful, think I would have exploded
Glad it came out that Piesrus was nothing more than a self absorbed tw at and his own fans turned on him.
I was out in the garden yesterday and came across a wasps nest. I politely explained that I meant no harm, just before I poked them with a stick. Can't believe how angry they got. Touchy little sods...
100%, I do not know the full ins and outs of the test and I will never be rich enough to go through it and find out, but how can the test be to blame. For example, for a point a few years ago I worked in a school. To get that job I had to have a DBS test done to make sure I was OK to work in that environment just like all other employees there. Had I then gone on to commit a crime there and get the sack that wouldn't mean the test had failed, it would just mean that I was a bad person. The test has obviously found many good owners in the leagues but unfortunately for Wigan they got stuck with a total stinker of an owner who just screwed them over.
True, but..... it was obviously going to be far too raw for most of them to react in any sort of measured way.
