    WOW in a nutshell

    Nobody knows who owns them

Old 'dodgy' owners still own training facilities and ground only

New takeover have failed fit and proper test

But even though old owners sold club for a quid and nobody now owns it they've signed 2 players including MK Dons player of the year

That's a car crash that looks like it's gonna get worse.........

I thought It was strange that yesterday they were signing players. I’d ask why the EFL aren’t taking immediate decisive action but I’m not daft. Unlike the EFL.

I thought id read somewhere that 8 months on the ownership had not been satisfied by the EFL, so how are they still even trading or playing fixtures?
I thought one of the rules (i mean guidelines) from the Efl was a promise that any owners had to guarantee they could run a club for 2 years.

It’s a huge pity that Charlton are in such a disarray.
Because if they wernt ..... then Sheffield Wednesday would be relegated.

It was a strange feature. Brilliant listen like. Blowk from Pompey fans group that helped their club survive more or less called the situation a complete furk up and he's been liaising with the CAFC equivalent and it's not looking good.

In a selfish way I don't know which way I'd ideally want the SW situation to get resolved. 12 points next season will help us but I'd love them to go down.

My 2 good SW mates say they'll not stay up. But if Charlton don't have an owner surely they can't appeal ?!?

That’s not true nudge. Sheffield Wednesday weren’t relegated and were given a reprieve due to the efl not applying its rules quick enough to bring charges early enough, nothing to do with Charlton’s issues.

Charlton went down because they finished third bottom, not because they don’t know who owns what; that had nothing to do with wednesday’s reprieve. Even if Charlton were in rude health they wouldn’t have had any grounds to appeal and the efl wouldn’t have done it for them.

Wednesday starting next season on -12, as much as they should have gone down this season, suits our agenda as well to be fair. Can’t see them doing much better than this season just gone so other than the points deduction possibly galvanising them, I can’t see much prospect for them. How sad.

Just need the EFL to grow a pair to get Derby on -12 now as well, then our prospects are to try and stay above at least three teams when one of them is a sheffield Wednesday side in disarray and twelve points behind, Rotherham United, Wycombe Wanderers and Coventry City. Derby will be ok but I still fancy us to finish about where they do at least if they do start on -12, and I think we’ll stay above all three of the promoted teams anyway regardless of points deductions. Can’t see Birmingham or Huddersfield being that great, nor Luton either. We can finish above a fair few of those you would hope.

Charltons priority right now is to save the club from folding no matter what league they are in.
I would imagine if the ownership issues had been resolved 6 months ago then they would be attacking the EFL with all guns blazing.

Possibly - but it wouldn’t get them far. I agree they need to get their house in order though, and quickly. You have to fear for them.

I’m just looking forward to the massives being skint, having a small squad, and trying to overcome a twelve point deduction to survive; hopefully from a safe distance above them.

Sure I read EFL had to authorise the transfers too

This is the main reason they’re in deep poo, because the EFL won’t ratify them for next season (as they did with Bury) as it stands as their 2 owners have failed the Owner and Directors Test. The EFL can’t do anything about stopping people buying clubs but they can stop them playing in their leagues. I’d guess that, as their owners took over in January, the EFL didn’t want to ‘unratify’ a club half way through a season but would be more likely to do so at in the season break.

I was listening to their assistant manager on a podcast the other day and even he didn’t know how they were allowed to sign the two players this week so I can’t answer that! He didn’t seem to think they would be able to sign any more unless the EFL agrees to it.

Forest Greens owner was interviewed the other day and he's spoke to nearly every L1 L2 owners since lockdown. He predicts and thinks if we don't get back to normal by the start of next season 20-30 club's will go under.

Could genuinely see it happening, mate. Really hope not. (Unless it was Wednesday or Leeds, obviously....)
