Just reading an article in the "daily truth" claiming frankle and kalt (2 american business men) are in pole position to take over the struggling latics with a £5 million bid. So what i here you say! well if our favorite tabloid is to be believed it states they also have a shareholding in oostende. Just interesting...maybe rubbish...it is in the current bun!
Just heard that Princess Diana's not doing very well. I think she's been involved in a crash in a tunnel. If I find anything else out, I'll let everyone know.
Im hoping that deals can be done with players etc .....errrr if theres any truth in the article, especially with the gautier link too (is he still in there?)
https://wiganathletic.com/news/2020/august/Update-Statement-From-The-Joint-Administrators-20-08-20/ The ex owner has written off the monies owed to him!! Totally bonkers
Good news for Wigan, should help them stay afloat. Never wanted to see them go bust but I do hope they rot in League One and Two for a while.
Got to wonder why they were put into administration, especially if they're able to write off the loan. Makes a sale more likely now, given that loan was the vast majority of the debt. But the admins seem to have tried to dampen down the noise around GG's consortium.
It would probably been seen as a gift in that case, which can then be seen as the investor adding cash into the club, which I believe they can only do up to a certain amount per season.
They still owe 10 mil surely selling players will cover it. They still need an owner though so no debt mounts up. Good luck
The more you read about it, the more you realise how dodgy their owners were. Unlike Bury, they should bounce back from this although I've never understood why any foreign investors would buy into a small provincial town club, and I include ourselves in this.
True - and until we uncover the motive of international investors many of us will be uneasy. It's not xenophobia, but a legitimate question. Surely someone can provide an answer.
Especially as lots of them are registered in places like the Cayman Islands, Hong Kong etc where you can't trace their financial status. I'm always suspicious of their motives. I've not heard a valid reason yet why they get involved.
Ganaye's now following Lisa Nandy on Twitter. He's either got a keen interest in the politics of the North West or he's doing the deal!
Normally I would agree with you, but I could make an exception for these supporters. The arrogance of them is unbelievable. They regard themselves along side the Burnleys and Evertons in Lancashire rather than the Rochdales and Fleetwoods as they really are. Are they happy the huge debt is no longer hanging over them? Not a bit of it. They now believe they have been ‘scammed’ and done out of millions. How does that work? Sorry but I can’t find any sympathy for them. They would be dancing on our grave if we went under
