    I don't see how - the club itself seem to be chugging along nicely. As far as I can tell this is just a disagreement between two businesses which are owned by the current and previous majority owners (complicated by the fact that they're both current owners to some extent!), and the vehicle which actually owns the club doesn't owe anything.

    Could well be wrong though.

    No. The points deductions have been brought about through inflated valuations, late filing of accounts and the deliberate misleading of authorities regarding the dates. In Wigan's case it was down to the owner refusing to foot the bills.

    1. There isn’t a stadium embargo

    2. Even if there was an ‘embargo’ there are no grounds to deduct points. The club has no real debt and isn’t remotely insolvent.

    This is an internal dispute between two factions of ownership. The only way it could go to an insolvency event and points deductions is if the major shareholders decide to walk away - but even then there isn’t any real debt and they haven’t made any loans to the club so it seems highly unlikely.

    I think the only way all of this could lead to a points deduction is if the courts rule in favour of the Crynes and payment is still not forthcoming, and that leads to winding up orders etc...
