I'd be surprised if the next head coach isn't German or Austrian. Probably already identified given we're unlikely to hold on to Struber for very long.

Why? People forget the likes of ferenczi souza de silva. Yes I know they are far from amazing but we always managed to remain a championship team. Then we released and signed lots of English players and went down.

To be fair while hes been on loan the loan club have probley paid the majority if not all of his wage, we didnt pay a fee for him if it doesnt work out it's not a great loss.

Struber was our number one choice long before he came in though remember. And we "kept in touch" with him for months before he was appointed here - he's probably had a fair part in signing these lads.

If that was the case and they were in touch with him months in advance, is that an illegal approach, and did that make Stendels position untenable?

    Ironic in the extreme.

GG didn't back that stance of being after Struber before Stendel in his interview with Ben though so who knows?

I would, imagine that it’s Something like if the spreadsheet identifies 2 players that fit the criteria and one is English, one Austrian , we are more likely to be successful with an Austrian because of the package we can offer.

Doubtful to be fair, he was only manager at Wolfsburg for 3 months & we made an official legal approach for him , previous to that he was working as a scout so I doubt there was anything sinister in us keeping tabs on him .

We "kept in touch with him" regularly.

All whilst employing a different Head Coach.

It doesn't matter if he was working in McDonald's, it's still wrong.

Imagine employing a bloke whilst you were lining up his potential replacement.

But then I expect this kind of thing from our current owners.

I reckon Kenny Dougall was a glitch and they were shocked by his command of English :D

And we withdrew the bid for Lyndon Dykes once we realised our faux pas...

What a load of tosh , you are just looking for something to have a pop at the owners over , its like a stuck record . I for one am pleased that they employed Struber , he has done a great job & certainly kept us up .

I'm not saying he did a bad job.

I'm saying he was contacted whilst someone else was employed as Head Coach.

Obviously this is a difficult concept.

On that basis, Stendels claim for constructive dismissal would be nailed on.

I can’t believe so many are passive while these owners do what they do. For such an allegedly militant town of such history, it’s really quite incredible what it will take without question.

This has been done to death , we all loved Daniel, but the fact is when he had a platform to defend himself , he never denied talking to Huddersfield without club permission , he broke his contract , I was praying for him to deny it but he didn"t . It seems though what ever the owners do ,it is wrong .
