just read that article can't see us entertaining any interest with the injury to williams i'm hoping he gets more game time this season
Glad to see people are seeing our survival as instead of Charlton rather than Wigan ! If he hadn’t scored that winner it would have been the Londoners stayed up not Wigan choose how much carping they do about us .
Will depend on the money offered. His head is bound to be turned by a premier league club being interested. He's nit a full back IMO. Wing back left winger or left sided midfielder. He puts some great balls in from wide positions and is best striker of a dead ball.
I am not surprised that there is interest in Odour , I think he is a real prospect & could go all the way to the top , whether or not there is any truth in this article remains to be seen but if as his career develops with us then so will interest from the bigger boys .
Didn’t dirty Leeds have a 50% sell on or something crazy like that too? They didn’t want to let him go I seem to remember.
Could see him going - Struber kept him on the bench quite a bit. I'd like to see him stay, but unless he's going to be a regular starter next season I reckon we'd get good money.
This lad needs to be kept most definitely,he is class. However in the current climate we shouldn't accept anything less than 5 million.
Had Ben Williams not got his injury I’d suggest they’d accept any decent offer, they’d get him for less than £2mil. Given we’re without BW, I don’t see any option other than JW at left back if we play a back 4, we’re short. It might take a bigger offer - but nobody is unavailable in our squad. If it’s 3 cb’s, I can see him wasting Callum Styles out there if Oduor goes. Don’t get me wrong, he’d be fine as a wing back, but for me he needs to play more advanced and more centrally. If Oduor does go we need a replacement.
Let's not forget Oduor has 3 years left on his deal. Our owners have been criticised for letting players leave relatively cheaply, however we're usually selling players in their final year of contract, who'll be worth nothing the following summer. Clark is still a young, relatively inexperienced player. And whilst he's looked very good in his 19 games, there's no guarantee that he'll develop into a Premier League regular. I think he could do, he's certainly got the potential. If there's any truth in this rumour, considering his potential and the length of time he has left on his contract, I wouldn't be accepting anything less than £5million. Its mad how our fans on twitter last summer were criticising the board for signing Oduor, as he'd never played a professional game. Now we're criticising them for letting him go too cheaply when we haven't even sold him. And they say football fans are fickle.
We’re building a team - it would be madness to sell him. Apart from the loss of an excellent player, the fans would clearly feel its “same old Barnsley, same board”!
He didn’t feature as much as I’d have liked as the season went on, particularly after the resumption, but he is class. Would definitely not sell. It would also feel a bit anti climatic if he was to leave this summer in my opinion. We’ve all seen his ability but not that much compared to other players who leave us, I’d want to see more of him before we sell him.
I agree with you wholeheartedly but I will have much more faith in this board if we keep out better players after the end of the transfer window in October. The jury is still out on the board at this moment in time!
