But is it a case of him being one of those underappreciated players whose contribution often goes unnoticed.
Or, is it a case of him not doing a lot wrong because he doesn't do a lot full stop?

The fact that he keeps getting selected suggests that there must be an element of the former, don't see a lot of contribution from him myself but there must be elements of his play that Struber appreciates and thinks works with his tactics.

I do think we need a right footed midfielder though.

Shouldn't help strengthen a fellow Championship team though. Not like we've done it in the past, is it? :)

Shame it didnt work out. I guess it makes sense to move on. Same scenario as a few others. The real point though looking forward is do we invest the ‘space’ into a new signing to strengthen. I know we want a smaller squad but even if we replace 50% of those we let go we do need more strength.

Yep, we've thinned the squad down , now we need to strengthen

I think there is a lot of truth in what you say, personally I am loathed to write off a player too quickly & try to give them some time before I make a complete judgement, Anderson being a prime example of the point I'm trying to make, alas though, despite obviously getting the support of Struber, some of the the experts on the Bbs have already written him off & that's that for the lad, myself, well I'll stick with Strubers judgement & see how things go

Good luck to Mike. He seems a very good natured lad but has struggled for game time in the G Struber regime. I wish him all the best.

I must admit I was one that thought he'd step it up in the championship. Given that he's not been with the squad its no surprise he's been let go.

When magic mike was buzzing he was brilliant to watch, such a shame he couldn't get that consistency in his game. I so wanted him to do well. Who else have we got with that flair, touch, killer pass because they are the players I love to watch. Hopefully Styles and Simeos will be them players.

Never rated him, his ability or his work ethic for us but I wish him all the best. Off the field he's never courted controversy and so deserves to have a crack at it elsewhere. Hope he finds himself a club that he fits in at

With respect. IMO he couldn’t match Thiam on those 2 attributes. Didn’t dislike the player but not strong enough. Wouldn’t back him in a 50/50 ball situation. (Not on his own on that count mindst.) Good luck to him. But should never have been in front of Styles. Bit different in attributes but Styles offers more.
